uh ok and u make this conclusion from 12 games.

it's better to lose now so our coach knows the urgency and stop having a pretty good talent sit and rot on the bench.

hi , guys . I am a rookie in this bbs and from the hometown of Yao. China. Now in my places ,it is the morning. and I and lots of my colleagues have watched the game. we are so diappointed about the result. but maybe we shoule calm down to analyse the situation .
first, i think the main reason to the loss is the coach. he did not arrange the offense and defense well. and he has too slow response to the game.
second . as u konw. Yao is the same to me . we are Chinese. in our culture . we emphasise on collective spirit. so the lead to Yao's unagress.
third,. that is also my quzzle. T-mac . why he always like to shoot some unreasonable ball. since he scored 13 pts in 31 secs. he cant shoot the finish ball at all. i could not deny the assists created by him . but he is not the doninated player like Kobe.
at last. the role players . alston ,wow .we all blame him . he played with nobrain. he cant shoot the openwide goal or anything.
so the solution of me is first. put alston on the bench. and use SF3.
second. T-mac ,and Yao,should be more agressive.
third. the rocket should have more strategy for the offense.
finally ,i wanna make friends with u all. i am a chinese , so i wanna konw you and maybe we can become good friends. if u who wanna make friend with u . pls leave ur Icq number or other relation methods in my EMail amire_1984@163.com. byebye

Well we're 6-6...so whatever hot start the team got off to with that opening night lineup is gone. Mike James and Head were pretty much non-factors again...and so was Bonzi (what is going on there?).

So whatever justification Adelman had for keeping the rotation the same is out the window now. I mean if Luther Head and Mike James are giving you next to nothing, then how can it hurt the team to give Steve some of their minutes...or Snyder? If it's not working, then find something that will...is that a hard concept to realize?

I'm going to kill myself if i have to keep watching the rox struggle and struggle and struggle against fronting defenses on yao. i think they've flashed someone to the free throw line twice this year trying to then dump it to yao. we know they can't throw it over the top, we know it takes too long to swing it around the arc, so why not just try having a man flash, then dumping it down inside from the free throw line. scola would be the perfect man to try this with, and if they double yao and leave scola he can shoot the 15 footer.

Bottom line:

Good teams (Mavs, Spurs, Suns, Celtics) manage to win. Bad teams manage to lose. The Rockets are a bad team right now.

We need to get bigger! We cannot depend on soft Scola and short Hayes in crunch time. I mean our short (Power) forward got out muscled by Dirk Noflopski. This team needs toughness and heart.

I'm not ready to blow the team up, or fire the coach or anything like that, but I am too bummed to offer any meaningful comments.

It's just too bad we couldn't pull this one out. The season is young, and I know we are still acclimating to a new system and new teammates.

I have hope, but I'm definitely bummed.

Some of you guys are the definition of overreaction.

The law of averages guys... The Mavs are a better team than us. Even if we finally "gel" with new offensive schemes, we will be equals. Main point is we're not going to blow out a team like the Mavs. They are a great team. They will come back and make it competitive.

Now that being said, our execution in the 4th definitely needs improvement.

Francis still needs to play as well.

JVG got outcoached too by avery, so what's new? i don't know why people want JVG back? he wasted 3 yrs.

i won't judge adelman until this season is over.

right now, obviously he wants to see if this rotation works w/o francis and obviously we're the same team as last yr w/o francis basically since scola and bonzi didn't play much today.

that is we can get leads => but blow it. typical of JVG-led teams (u do remember at this same time last yr JVG caused us to blow A TON of leads)

but adelman has at his disposal a potential player in francis who can be that 2nd playmaker.

when adelman just tells the team - give the ball to tmac (which is a good thing) but that means that's the only player we can go to.

look at how the lead wilted when tmac sat down (in the 2nd and in the 4th).

again im not panicking b/c we have OPTIONS if adelman wants to and WILLING to use it. JVG never did and gave up on bonzi. if adelman gives up on francis, then yes, it's hopeless this year.

Scola needs to play more. He's a good passer and brings smarts and toughness.

Long term, it might be better that we lost this game rather than get away with it in the end like what happened in LA. The loss forces the team to face its weaknesses.
