ClutchFans Game Thread: Mavericks @ Rockets 11/21/2007

Just like the Suns, too many shooters. Jason Terry just lives for these games. If TMac and Yao go wild and score about 40 a piece, I like our chances.

 

I think in a more realistic point of view, I would like more SCORERS then greater individual efforts. Luther Head, Mike James, Bonzi Wells, Shane Battier, and Luis Scola all or some need to step up to give a balanced and unpredictable offensive attack. All have the capability to put 20 points on a given night if they wanted.

 

We have yet to match up well with Dallas, stretching back to the last playoff series. This doesn't mean we don't have players that CAN play their best against Dallas, cause we do! These players could (and need to) play well in this uptempo, sharpshooting matchup:

Luther Head
Tracy McGrady
Mike James
Luis Scola

 

T-Mac is ready for this game, he has been frustrated with the unlucky injury, I think he's really motivated to snap that 4-game losing streak.

Rockets have to beat the Mavs.

Can't wait, I'm sure it will be a great game to watch.

 

That would be ideal, but the Rocket's role players have not fared well against the Mavs in the past. The Mavs like the Suns try to shoot you out of the game. In a shooting contest, the Rockets usually come up short. The key will be strong defense because once Terry, Howard, Dirk, et all get hot, it is tough to keep up.

 

Tmac 3-15 trying to get the shooting touch back. Rafer with another stinker 2-11, *cough*, I mean another regular 2-11. James 3-10 and Rockets lose 89-105 at home. Fans chant for Francis. Aldeman say in the press conference he could find time in the rotation for Francis, since rafer is our best guard.

 

I was at the game when we beat em by 30. I'll be there Wednesday tomm

Jason Terry saves up to play the Rockets. He is usually well above his season averages in points, and seems to shoot twice his percentage from 3 pointland against us. Mavs fans should be jeering at him for stinking it up the other nights he plays hehe.

thats why adelman should surprise them and put steve on terry.. I believe SF has the size and strenght to contain terry defensively and punish him offensively

 

Jason Terry is a good shooter but look at the type of shots he puts up, he jacks 'em up a lot early in the shot clock, in my opinion and the others off-balanced miracle-type shots. He can't be always as good as our last game with them..

I'm getting a good feeling about this game... Look for good games from Bonzi and Scola on top of the usual from Mac and Yao...

YAO will get 20+, because TMac is back .

Really like our chances in this one. Mavs on back-2-back and we'll play better at home esp. with 3 days rest. Tmac back in lineup should add much needed confidence and shooting touch. Hope for good game from Yao, Scola and Tmac. Let start a new winning streak!

REVENGE spells DEATH !! Tracy has a chance to lift the Rockets to a higher level by involving all his players in the game. If he scores 40 points on 20 of 45 and our team stands around and watches him take many bricks we will loose the game. Tracy scoring 23 points and getting 12 assists would ensure that all our players are playing and giving of their best.He must not try to go on a scoring contest with Dirk, he must play Rocket Ball!!
