NBA Crew Chief Ken Mauer met with pool reporter Brian Smith of the Houston Chronicle after the game between the Mavericks and Rockets in Houston tonight. Here is the transcript of that interview:

Question 1: After the foul on Harden at the end of the game with 0.1 on the clock, why was the time remaining not reviewed to see if more time was remaining when the foul occurred?

Mauer: By rule, unless the clock goes to zero, I am not allowed to go over and review and possibly put time back on the clock. I’m just not allowed to. Had the clock gone to zero, then I would have been able to go over and review to look at the clock; but because the clock did not go to zero, without definitive knowledge, I’m not allowed. It’s not a viewable trigger.
