Well at least we have the luxury of being able to debate who should start over the other, I mean I don't see how friendly competition for the starting spot is ever bad.

i realize that, and i like lin for the most part.

but, don't try to sell me that lin is hands down the starting pg because of what he did other than 2/9.

i prefer to have shooting around D12.

was a decent game for Lin, another good game for Bev. Lin+D12 connection in the first quarter looked promising and then disappeared

Reggie Williams is the worst player I've ever seen..I'm ashamed he's a Rocket.

Seriously, you did not yell, "WTF?!" when Lin DECIDED to shoot against the back of the board?

Because their expectation on LIN is very high
I think he plays okay and could play better.
on the other hand, beverly outplayed Lin tonight

It doesn't, the box score plus watching the game would. He didn't shoot well at all today, and on couple plays, he had his signature nowhere to go in the lane moments. But, overall he played well. He had excellent playmaking, and although his defense in the first quarter was horrendous, it got better and better as the game went on. He played with hustle and aggressiveness. Those are the things that I got from watching the game, what did you get?

Bev played his usual good game, good defense, controlled on offense, and good 3-point shooting. Good game for Bev.

At this point I don't care who starts, they're both good young players, we'll be fine with either of them starting. We'll just see how it turns out.

Overall he did not play well. If you think he played well, then you have very low standards for Lin. I expect borderline all star play out of him, if not this season then the season after.

    Sloppy team.

Twin towers need work. Asik looked confused on offense. Team needs to get him touches too.

lol, I am watching the game
So I can see that Lin had a sloppy start but he improves his defense, was more aggressive.
I've seen him missing easy layups and not being comfortable with his shots. But I can also see that he is fast and not easy to stop if he drives to the basket.

I also see that Beverly & Lin are playing well together. They hustle and passing to each other.

I really like this combination Lin + Beverly. I think we will see this a lot:

Lin, Beverly, Harden, Parsons & Howard.

They lack strength but I don't know another line-up with this speed.

    Man,
Some of you guys are nuts. Everybody will have bad games, JLIN, HARDEN, DWIGHT, BEV and EVERYONE ELSE will have bad nights. It's a fact.

And some people can see no wrong.
Lin had a horrible start and a poor game overall by previous standards this preseason. He's not a scrub so I would expect him to find ways to contribute.
He got better later in the game with the reserves but still not particularly impressive overall.
