It will take many, many games to adjust... and even when he does, you have to take into account that he was foul prone in FIBA bbl too.

Still a very selfish player ! Doesn't play within the scheme of things!

They must be under the impression that he's Pistol Pete or something...

poor defense overall. scola was confused on what to do, with pick n rolls. and several time, where devin harris passed the point guard (in 1st quarter, rafer) and then whoever was guarding bass, helps. which leaves him wide open. he also had some moves, we could have contained him better, though.

also, i love the head/james/francis lineup. pretty neat. dont' know if you could use that in the season, but it was pretty fascinating.

I agree. but he looked the same against the hornets . he just keeps getting ticky tack fouls. hopefully by mid-season he'll be fine.

So both our PF's are foul machines. Great. What happens when they both pick up 3 fouls by mid 2nd quarter trying to guard Duncan/KG?

Hell, I'd rather Scola play Juwan-level defense than be a foul machine and pick up bad fouls.

Hopefully, but I honestly think it will take more time, considering the performances of other foreign players in their rookie season.

Then we throw in Harris to pick up another 6 fouls. Yao guards Duncan pretty well.

I think scola will get alot better. i think by mid-season scola will be pretty darn hgood. however i dont hold much hope for him on defense. dosent really matter if he isnt gonna be great on D. thats we got hayes for.

Yes, the issue will always be the defense... the offense is already there, when he gets to touch the ball a little bit more in the offense, it will get better.

Well, there's a difference between being a bad defender and being a foul machine. IMO being a foul machine is worse for an offensive player like Scola b/c he can't stay on the floor if he fouls. Chuck is a foul machine, but a pretty good defender. Right now Scola is both a bad defender and a foul machine, unlike say Juwan who is a bad defender but not a foul machine.

If Scola wants to stay on the floor, he needs to cut down on the bad fouls.

dont' think both of them will be cut. novak was the 2 pick of 2nd round, and landry, we payed a future 2nd and cash. they both must worth something., especialy landry. i rather keep one of them, then butler.
