For some reason, we just can't make both free throws tonight. It was always 2 in 1.

Hayes played great team defense last year... I'm not sure if we were watching the same game. He also did a pretty good job on Okur.

Problem is, they are outscored by Mav's scrubs.

That's a bunch of good 'one on one' guys, though. What the coach has to do is place players who best 'fit' with one another. Francis/James/Bonzi is a horrible unit to have on the court at the same time, there will be absolutely no ball movement at all and no chemistry. I still think the best fit would be the following:

Starting unit: I would put James in there instead of Rafer, because James' strength is shooting the ball and with Yao/Mac he is a great fit; second unit he's unimpressive.

Second unit: I would put Rafer with this group because he's the ONLY guy that can do a decent job of distributing the ball. If Rafer can run the second unit with T-Mac out (let's be honest, we have only two ball movers on this team, and T-Mac is it on the first unit), they will be much more efficient with the ball and the offense will run smoother.

So I still think that's the way to go. It's not about who's "better", it's all about who fits best with whom.

Francis is slowly getting there... but he certainly ain`t there yet. He still seems a little lost, a little slow and a little "... i need to score now so that they see how good i am. I just can`t turn the ball over again... oh crap."

I think he needs to get comfortable here and get used to his new teammates and the system.

With James and Wells coming of the bench as really good scoring options (I expect Scola to start), Francis doesn`t have to do a whole lot every night. If one of those 3 get hot every night we don`t have to worry about much.
