Good to see we got smart folk on this board. Harden needs to get his ass in shape too. If he really wants a trophy, he’ll probably have to give up the strippers. There’s always a cost.

That's (probably) the last time I spam the first page of a game thread. That was terrible luck. We looked like complete asshoes all game.

I've seen people make that comparison.

As for this season, I don't see it. He's going to actually have to prove it before I put him there. I think a lot of people want to put him there, but he's not there yet. He had one fun series in the playoffs, okay, now lead your team to a #1 seed, make them a contender...

Until he does that...he's not getting put over Harden, Giannis, Lebron, AD, Kawhi, Butler, Curry, Durant, any of these guys.

I'm still not all that impressed with the Mavs. THJ won't play like this for most games. The Unicorn is actually a unicorn in that it's rare to see him actually play, I forget he's on the team until someone mentions he's hurt again...and the rest of the team is very meh. He's just going to have to make more post-season noise for me to consider him an A-tier superstar.

I know everyone wants him to be but he actually has to get his team to the 2nd round until he does for me. Unfair because he's young? Sure. But I'll save my praise for him until I see it.

The Warriors only scored under 100 twice that series. What are we even talking about here? Also, once Durant's ISO ball was gone in 2019, the Warriors' ball-movement-heavy offense was cooking the Rockets at will.

Refs also allowed the Rockets to play very physical with the Warriors, especially Curry as well. You know very well that that's the only chance the Rockets had in stopping them, and thankfully, the refs let the teams play defense. Yes, Game 7 was an awfully officiated game, but always blaming the refs for the team's shortcomings isn't going to do much.

Small ball needs long lengthy defenders. Eg is not gonna cut it.

Harden is better than Luka today, correct.

However you're incorrect in your post summising Luka's game as either step backs or layups.

Luka has an entire in-between game which Harden (I don't think it's not a case of him not having it, I think it's a case of he's had it conditioned and coached out of his game)

There were two examples tonight off the top of my head where Luka has absolutely bamboozled the defense with his footwork and body movement (granted, one of those was Wood so it might not be that emphatic) - the point is you will never see Harden make that play for the rest of his career. Nor has he made that play the previous couple of seasons that I can recall.

I dont think he will ever have chemistry with another major ball handler because he refuses to do much when he doesn't have the ball.

man the energy is just so different when harden is not there... players regress and go into their shelves when hes on the court ...

not sure if you blame harden for that perhaps they respect him too much and looking too much to him to bail them out...

hardenless rockets are so much more fun to watch
