ClutchFans Game Thread: Mavericks @ Rockets 1/28/2015

Wont get to see the game tonight or listen (freaking chem lab). I'll be with the Rockets in spirit.

 

I think the fact they've lost 3 in a row is a bigger factor than back-to-back. Expect good focus from them.

Rockets turnovers, as always, are a big factor. This is mostly due to lack of focus.

Let's hope Rocket's defense trumps Mav's offense. Too often this season the Rockets don't seem as focused at home. This needs to change.

 

Any news on Dwight and T. Jones?

 

No new updates since yesterday. If I had to guess, Dwight sits out and T-Jones plays a few minutes.

 

Any coincidence to Terence Jones coming back and Terry's sudden urge to "kick the Mavs while they are down"?

 

Nah, probably just a coincidence. Now if he'd said "we need to kick those bums while they're down"....:grin:

 

Really nervous about this game.

Dallas is hungry. I think they're gonna come out with a win. They have a great offense and our defense has fallen off.

The last time we played them, we played with a chip on our shoulder. Dallas thought it would be an easy win.

I think they're going to be hungry to get this one. We have a mentality to overlook opponents based on their record.

 

Dallas hasn't played well recently, their offense has taken a step back in the short-term while they try and figure out how to integrate Rondo and settle in their big rotation, and they're on a back-to-back on the road in the middle of a ridiculously tough travel schedule. This should be an easy win.

 

Pray Dorsey doesn't get destroyed by Chandler on the boards or we are screwed.

 

When you get out of the house, do you always carry an umbrella?

 

Sure hope the players aren't making the mistake of thinking like this.

 

Yeah you are right, but I would like to take the opportunity to ask you about Mike Conley.... Isn't he great? What he has done with his team is absolutely amazing and did you even know he might not make the all star game this year? If there is one guy who deserves praise around the league its Conley..... What do you think?

 

Easy win. Mavs are on a B2B and Rondo has tanked their offense down the ****ter.

 

Im betting the Dallas gets more calls than the Rockets here at home...AND...that Parsons plays well.

Too bad that wont help as Harden catches fire in the 2nd half and drops 50 on the Mavs...

 

Getting rebounds is the only thing Dorsey is any good at it. 16th best rebound rate in the entire league.

What does that 2nd tweet mean? It was worse than we all thought?

 

Well, dude did miss exactly half of the season, so whatever he did have was serious.

 

Chandler will "destroy" Dorsey; I would start DMo at Center. That would be an interesting match up. I'd give Terry a lot of "burn," he might go off on the Mavs. You know Parsons is going to try and impress, but so will Ariza. Bad blood. I expect a fight or two and several technicals. Rockets by ten.

 

I think he's just saying that a lot of what TJ went through didn't come out in the media, and that the possible outcomes were scary.

Luckily he's back and healthy again.
