Parsons disappeared in the second half.

Lol! We'll gladly take him off their hands. We can swamp him for McHale.

Was Dwight on the sidelines? Didn't see him. Waiting on the injury report on Harden.

I would take Ellis hiting 12/15 from midrange than Smith him 4 threes all day.

Really hope Harden won't have any lingering problems with his knee following tonight's game. Was glad to see Ariza step up in the third and knock down some threes and even more so to see him shut down Ellis in the fourth. T Jones had a nice come back game. Great to see him back on the court. Beverley was basically worthless tonight. Josh Smith seems to be fitting in better everyday and really has strengthened the second unit. So glad I can go to bed tonight in a good mood. Nothings better than beating the Mavs.

    Mc:

Terrence, really good to have him back. TJ does what TJ does. Three, attack off the dribble, a couple of blocks, couple of tough defensive rebounds, he plays with a great deal of athleticism, great strength. Good to see him out there. There was real doubt if he'd come back. He went through a lot. Great young man, great to see him playing.

    What difference does Smith make?

Couple blocks late were huge. Had to overextend on Monta because we had no answer. His 3s went in which was great but his rim protection helped win that game.

(Terrence) I wanted to keep him around 20. Tomorrow, it's how he feels. He had drop foot. His big toe has been sore. We don't want to turn that into turf toe or anything long term. We're trying to keep him around 20, which will be hard some times but...

Joey had 3 offensive rebounds to start the 3rd. Kept some balls alive, was solid for us rebounding. DMo, Josh and Terrence, we were able to keep semi-fresh bodies out there. DMo played 34 minutes but that's not a bad rotation. They can all catch, pass, shoot and play make some. They can make plays going downhill, which we really really need.

Agreed. A victory over the Mavs is a true highlight. It may not be equal to five victories over Eastern teams, but it sure feels like it.

We probably won't know anything definite til tomorrow at the earliest. It took at least a day before we got the bad news about Bev last season.

Wow, when a guy hits 4 threes in a game and even 4/5, I have to consider them a three pointer. 2 3PAs a game should be the limit for Smoove.

Most sane people would take those odds.

Ellis scored 24 points on midrange jumpers while shooting 80% (38 percentage points better than his average). Josh Smith scored 12 points on 3pt jumpers while shooting 80% (57 percentage point better than his average).

    Which fluke was more impactful?

I'll definitely take this win. Without Howard and with Harden quiet. Loved our balanced scoring. Looks like Josh Smith has found his place and likin' it.
    Our bench outscored theirs 47-18.
Great to see T. Jones getting back in the mix.

he isn't god awful from the corner... don't mind seeing that shot a little bit... if he gets too fond of the 3ball though someone will have to tell him to notch it down

Pretty nice that we were able to shoot 40% from three despite Beverley going 0-6. Another not so productive game out of him. Imagine the ceiling of this team if we had a good starting PG

On 99% of nights Harden isn't going to score 15 points and go to the line a few times... Howard was out too. This was a legitimate win... Houston won on 3's, turnovers and transition baskets.
