Cam is an elite prospect. Other teams passed on him for who knows why, I can't speculate, I'm no insider, but what the Rockets do with him is so interesting to me.

He's a perfect trade sweetner if that big star player shakes loose...but then the man is 20 years old. 20. He might just be scratching the surface with his talent.

I think the Rockets really do have to do their due diligence with him, maybe the plan is to get him the minutes next year, I don't know, but it would be a silly idea to just trade him away without knowing fully what he could turn out to be. You don't want a SGA situation or a Harden situation where a guy with sky high potential is kind of hidden because of the role the team has for him.

I mean yeah, if suddenly Anthony Edwards wants out you happily trade Cam away but I'd be kind of worried trading him for a fringe all-star guy like Fox.

Rockets right now are not a contender and they are not a move away from being a contender so they shouldn't rush things and just make sure they are right about their core.

I see it with Sengun and Amen and even Jabari if they ever give the man consistent shots...but Cam is intriguing as well.

Fair but John Wall averaged 29 games per year after 2017. 6 seasons.

Certain posters only enjoy the negativity, usually by mocking or ragging on whomever they dislike the most on the team, usually for biased reasons. I miss the days when posters could just enjoy the team winning, but even in wins there always some losers who can't help themselves. It's worse after losses though, they will place blame on whomever they hate, without any statistical analysis, just basing their hate on what their "eyes" can see. Or just because they like to troll. They have made this GARM a far worse place than it ever has been, even worse than the JLin years.

Is there a video anywhere? I couldn’t watch because of league pass blackout rules.

    The
There are plenty of fans on this site that are overly negative, but this would be a hugely boring site if all we did was Rah Rah Rah we are playing better than expected. I have been more negative lately, because I see that there are obvious problems with this team and its development that is not being addressed.

It is ok to be critical of the coaching or even players even in a winning effort, especially when the same problems are apparent and that the "winning effort" was because of who we were playing not how we were playing. We can celebrate that Sengun, Jalen, and Cam played pretty well. We can also be critical that Ime played FVV 40+ minutes once again and even Dillon Brooks said he was tired, while Cam didn't play at all in the 3rd quarter after being partly responsible for us taking the lead.

Even though we are currently in 3rd in the West, it is still ok to be critical of our offense and the coach that is failing to address it. If we didn't play coach and GM like fans like to do, why even have a forum like this? All you guys that want to put your head in the sand and Rah, Rah, the rest of the year. Come back and explain how you feel later this year when all this coach's shortcomings are producing a team that is fighting to get in the play-in as opposed to skating into the playoffs like you guys think is going to happen.

Cam, how did it feel to get consistent minutes there in that 2nd Q and also 4th Q to close the game?

I don’t think it was consistent minutes. I really don’t know,…I mean I contributed a little bit but it doesn’t really affect anything. Can’t get me nowhere. We’ll see what happens. Glad we got the win.

You don’t feel good about how you played?

    I do but it’s nothing…

Weird spot with where you’re at right now?

No, not a weird spot. Just don’t know. A lot of question marks for myself.

    In what way?

No other way. I don’t know what’s going on, what the deal with me is. I just don’t know.

Feel you needed to provide that spark in the 2nd with the team trailing?

Every time I step on the floor, bring energy, spark, joy, some juice.

    Mindset on defense?

Feel like we had to defend, they’re coming off the WCF. Very good team. Got Kyrie and Klay Thompson.

Feel you’ve done enough to deserve a consistent role?

    No, no I don’t.

What more do you need to do?

Shoot I don’t know. I really don’t know. A lot of question marks for myself.

Sounds like Ime is not really communicating well, or Cam isn't buying what Ime is selling.

Cam is a VERY intriguing talent. Coaches have to be part time psychologists as well. He and Cam need to have a heart to heart visit. Cam clearly doesn't understand how his minutes are being determined.

This shows how keyboard warriors are blowing this completely out of proportion. He is a 20 year old kid that has not yet learned how to present himself in public. Lots of adults don't know how to express themselves in much less pressure situations. Add on the frustration that anyone would feel in his second year being sent to RGV, while a rookie making way more money than he is getting playing time even though he hasn't earned it.

Or maybe Cam has mush for brains. Ime doesn't seem to have trouble communicating with anyone else.

Just because DD says it, doesn't make it true. Maybe they communicate great, we don't really know.
