The key to an NBA's guard's success is leave Houston. Turns you into a star. Well, except for J. Lin.
Whatever the reason for the lineup change, it worked. D-Mo had his best game in a long time. Playing the 4 instead of the 5 is what he needs.
I agree, though it also helps playing a Magic front line that plays very little defense. Still not too confident in DMo handling the Grizzlies/Blazers/Clippers/etc.
#1 James Harden is already the league MVP, he won't get it because Curry is more popular and has a better record but Harden actually deserves it and won't get it regardless of what he averages the rest of the season. #2 Harden has been playing long minutes scoring all the points all the assists everything all season. By the end of the season he is worn out, which is one of the reason's I don't like Mchale, he rides his favorites to death and by the end of the season they are tired and look like they don't care but they are actually just tired. #3 Harden has missed only one game this year and that's because he has had to. What more to you want this guy to do? Hardens deserves nothing but Houston's utmost respect and appreciation no matter how the rest of the season plays out, he has gotten us this far without Howard and Jones and also we just got Smith and Brewer not too long ago. To attack him now because he is tired is pure stupidity, give him a break. He's not a freakin' work mule. So far you are the only Donkey I see around here.
Thank god we were able to pull out that one despite horrible games from Harden and Jones. McHale having that reaction about Jones is concerning a bit, hopefully he doesn't stay in the doghouse for long. Great game from DMo! If he can consistently give us about half the points with a rebound or two more he'll keep that starting job with Dwight back most likely. Huge shots from Smith at the end of the 3rd, who knows what happens if he doesn't sink those.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he start the 2nd half? So he was in the doghouse for all of 24 minutes.
I'll take the W. Always interesting that the people who've admitted they can't see the games unless they're nationally televised are the most critical. So much to say about games you aren't even watching.
I wouldn't say it worked. Jones had a dreadful game in the 2nd unit, never got in the flow of things. Plus, DMo spent much of the game matched up on Vucevic anyway. And the Magic were basically dead even with us through three quarters, so from a team perspective it did not work either. DMo scored a lot of points but who cares if the team is worse off.
True but he still seemed pretty pissed afterwords, you never want animosity between the coach and any player.
I'm pretty sure T-Jones will get over it quickly. He better if he wants to have any shot at earning his starting job back once Dwight returns.
