That's what the team has instructed him to do. The greatest playmaker of all time wouldn't make any difference on this team right now. They need buckets. He's one of the few players on the team that can provide them.

Relax. I bet he's trying to get the Rockets to a good start. One of the main problems with HOU is that we get off to horrible 1Q where we are down by double digits. AB is trying to be aggressive with his scoring to prevent that. Whether he's forcing the issue or not is a different matter altogether but rest assured that he is not selfish but just trying an alternate approach to the game. Obviously, our record in the past few weeks show that things haven't been working, so the coaching staff probably are trying to tinker with it.
The greatest playmakers would make their team become better. If they brick again and again, they would definitely help their team in other way...
