Normally I'd agree with you, but the bench wasn't protecting the lead & they don't play again until Thursday.
Im really impressed with Harden's defense these past 2 games. Makes a huge difference to this team since his on the court 40min per game. Also very impressed with Howards production these past few games. We are seeing good consistency from him now. TJones, another great game....his going to be around for awhile in this league. He can only improve from here. Chandler, Mr "Do Everything", such an important role in this team....he makes everyone's life easier.
1. So true. 2. He on and off but hopefully he get better. 4. I just hate how much time are starter have to play to beat bad teams. Our bench is weak. But okay win.
Some nights Beverley hits his 3s. I think any of the players not hitting their 3s should just move in and take shorter shots. Some nights, most of them just won't fall but Bev has gotten some big 3s in some of the past games in the 4th quarter even when his 3 wasn't working for him the whole game.
This was the Best all around game I've seen from Harden since he's been a Rocket. By far. Defensive effort the entire game, minimal number of forced/contested shots, pulled the ball out multiple times instead of forcing the play into crowds, used his dribble and jab step not only to set up shots and drives but also assists, didn't burn a lot of clock with his dribbling, and made lots of smart passes and skip passes to set up open team mates. Dwight was very good as well. Getting more mobile as the season progresses. TJones is playing an excellent all around game. Parsons looked like he was moving a bit gingerly during stretches, but still played well. Beverley... 3 point shooting. Ouch. Most of the team really struggled at the line. Leading FT shooters were Harden and Dwight!!?!?!. No idea what that was about. Other than that, pretty happy with the game in general. Unfortunate that we weren't able to blow it out in the 4th, but folks were just missing too many open shots at that point. It happens. A solid win at home.
Pat Roasted Jameer tonight!! He not there to score or assists he's just there to lock down his man. Nelson tonight was: 15 pts 4 assists on only 5/12 FG 4/6 3FG Pat had a come up in offense tonight in addition to the excellent defense Chipped in a solid: 9pts 3 assists 3/9 FG 2/8 3FG 1 block With ONLY 1 TO. Bev takes care of the ball and that's what we need in a point guard just like Bull said.
Good win by them Red Nation Rocket Boyz. Harden had another great all around game. Howard was a beast again on them boards. Parson the Glue with another great performance on both ends of the court. Got love T. Jones, this youngsta is coming into his own right before our very eyes. Loving our defensive intensity, 2nd game holding our opponents to less than 90 points. We have to do a better job protecting the ball, 18 turnovers. We had a terrible 4th quarter.
I know Lin is out but the Rockets need another bench player... Can't wait to see what Morey gets for Asik.
Bev played 39 minutes as well. The bench just didnt have it. Plus a lot of Superstars plays that many minutes.
I suspect the fans turning on Harden made an impression. Now, if we can just get Garcia turned around...
Beverley's 3PT shooting is down to 33%. Clyde Dexler was discussing another Rocket's backcout man's 3PT shooting last year and called his 34% 3PT shooting abysmal.
NBA news: In tonight's loss to Celtics, Felton, Shumpert, Bargnani and J.R combined for 2-24 and 5 points.
