two things i hope from tonight.

1) We win!
2) Dwight doesn't posterize Yao!

 

Holy crap there's a lot of games on the schedule tonight. I hope League Pass has enough room and the Rockets aren't the odd game out. I remember this happening last year and we had to wait for another game to end to be able to catch like the 4th quarter of the Rocket game.

There are 11 games tongiht and 14 LP channels so one would hope this isn't a problem.

Agreed. A legendary performance by Howard. We had no chance after the first quarter.

A few points about the game:

The Magic play the inside outside game quite well. We should learn a thing about that.

Howard is too strong and too quick for Yao to guard him one on one. Yao also has to do a better job keeping him off the glass. He killed us with his offensive rebounds. That dunk (and one) on Yao a few minutes in really took Yao out of his game since he picked up his second foul.

The Magic's three really hurt us tonight. Why can't we get shooters like that. Turk, Lewis and Nelson outside with Howard inside works really well especially since Nelson and Lewis can drive too.

I thought we had a chance until TMac started bombing with his ill advised shots early in the shot clock. That led to a few fast break threes by the Magic.

Why doesn't Yao dunk the ball. Missing those close to the basket attempts (in Yao's case, layups) really cost us. How many times did he get stripped from the blind side too?

What is our record against the East now? 4-4. I thought we were supposed to beat up on these teams.

Doesn't it suck to be under .500 again. We're even behind the Blazers!

 

welcome to the board!...........i get frustrated when bonzi settles for the jumper...part of it is his fault for not being aggressive and taking it to the basket, but part of the blame goes to R.A. for not putting him the right situations to score with his skill set..........the rockets rarely ever post bonzi up down low where he is most effective imo.....games where they have posted him up are games in which he has gone off (S.A. and Memphis)

 

Interesting to see Tmac and Francis playing their old squad. I'd like to see both of them fired up for tonights game and stick it to their past. Moreso Steve than Tmac. Get it together Steve!

Want to put money where your mouth is?

 

Dont think that Yao can shut down DH. It requires a team effort. Dont think that DH can shut down Yao either. Yao will be double teamed or DH will be on Yao only for half of the positions.

 

Who else would guard Howard besides Yao? Hayes?

 

Yao take Howard to school. Show him who's the Alpha Dog in the NBA at the 5 spot.

Hayes with Yao's help for half of the DH's touches. Yao with small guard's help (to steal when a post move is made) for rest of DH's touches.

Orlando will do the same against Yao.
