I hope not! Man, they need to pull it togehter and score a big win against Steve and his cronies! I'm going to this game, it better be good!
I have to say that i was actually at the game Saturday night. The only thing that excited me during the whol game was the maybe five minute fight betwen the two times.. It was nice to see Yao actually stick up for himself but other than that the game blew... I mean every single part of that game blew. I mean during the gam there was actual slience. There were no cheering and it seemed dead and this was tip off. Then came the Rockets sorry proformence throughout the game. After tring not to get punching the New Orlands fans that were behind me i had to sit through the most gayest half time show ever...WHO IN THE HELL WAS THAT....then after his sorry attempt to dunk he finally went off...Thank God...what toped off the night was the lost..Honestly the way they played the deserved to lose...So for tomorrows game i am not saying there going to win...THERE GOING TO LOSE AGAIN....they just need to get there act together
One year in the NBA > One year in college. When I went to their preseason game I looked for some new moves, but he's pretty much the same guy as last season, just bigger. He's probably going through an adjustment period to his growth in mass right now, hopefully it takes another couple of games, the Rockets really need this win.
But in the NBA you don't have time to work on your game. You have to do that in the offseason. You hear that all the time but it must have some truth to it. Between the traveling, 4 games in 5 nights, these guys have shoot arounds go over some schemes and play.
In college you have SCHOOL WORK, coaches only get a certain number of hours to be with you, in the summer I don't think they can have any practice time with them, something like that. And playing time? Dwight would have needed at least two years of college, against inferior competition, to get as much playing time as he did in the NBA in one season. Man, Dwight's a bad example. IMO, his early season struggles are due to his weight gain, T-Mac was going through the same thing, but once they get used to their new bodies they should be fine.
Bottomline, if the Rockets don't win this one, it might be a looooooong time before they see another W. The upcoming road trip without TMac is scary. The team on the court Saturday night is not going to the playoffs, I am hoping for a different team to show up and SOON.
Yeah, but they play thirty or so games and school just isn't that hard, especially if you're an NBA prospect who doesn't take class all that seriously.
We need this win. Let's not kid ourselves people, this is going to be tough. Steve and Dwight Howard have been slow lately and the Magic are winless. The law of averages pretty much dictates they'll have good performances eventually. How long can they possibly keep losing? For at least one more game, I hope. 97-90 Rox
Rox win, but barely...JVG I'm sure has gotten on their arses about their pathetic collapse on Sat... Rox: 91 Magic: 86
the magic are bound to win sometime. on top of that, they are similar to the hornets. very fast guards (steve, nelson, dooling) will get our bigs in foul trouble and get themselves easy baskets. cato, howard, outlaw, and battie may a very big defensive frontcourt. it will not be an easy game for yao being attacked by guards and then defended by 4 good defensive big men. without anyone else to step up it looks grim for the ROX.
In addition, someone on the Magic will give yao a dirty look and someone on this forum will call him a soft p***y for not stabbing him in the face and killing and eating the opposing team's parents and pets.
Yao Ming will take over, only this time he's fresh down the stretch or we already finish the Magic before 4th quarter. Rockets 89 Magic 77
