Maybe that will change. I don't know if you saw it, but Morey was talking about D-Mo this morning on the radio:

Sounds like D-Mo has been living in the gym and working on his shooting constantly. That's great news for this team to have a PF who is 7 ft tall who can play solid defense, post up, and hit the 3 consistently.

    Adam Wexler @awexler
"He's feeling good overall, there's no swelling anywhere, no 'I'm getting pain in a certain spot',"- McHale on Dwight('s back). #Rockets

This would be awesome. Even with all of the injuries last season, we always had the luxury of having at least one of DMo, TJ or Josh in the lineup -- and though they aren't terrific jumpshooters, they'd at least take them so it didn't totally kill your spacing if you played two of them together, one of them with Dwight, etc. Not playing McHale apologist here, but I can see where he's between a rock & a hard place deciding whether to (1) clog the lane w/two of Dwight/Harrell/Capela, or (2) use just one of those and give up layups/sacrifice rebounding on the other end.

come on now. he does one pick and roll per every 6 scary post up. the only pick and rolls he does are the alley oops if you want to classify them as pick and rolls.

and that's the point of pick and rolls in this offense. that's the main adjustment he made coming back from injury last season and personally acknowledged by him. don't over exaggerate. he gets touches still but primarily runs pick and rolls. again that's not garbage points.

Right. I think I agree with McHale's decision to play Ariza at the 4 instead of Harrell.

Harrell has a lot of promise, but he's too inexperienced to make a big impact on the defensive end, and he clogs the spacing on the offensive end. And in my opinion he's not big enough to play center, doesn't rebound well enough, and Capela is just better at center. So there isn't really room for Harrell right now.

It was nice to have 3 PF's who could at least space the floor some. This year, with Smith gone and D-Mo and Jones currently hurt, they have zero PF's who can space the floor. Quite the turnaround.

No Boogie tomorrow night, yeeee. Probably no Dwight either though.

He played against Dedmon. Give me a break..... He doesnt have the explosion he once had. He will never be Orlando Dwight ever again.
