Yes, this crew just lets the game go. I recalled several times Yao tried to do a hook shot. But while doing that, he was pushed out and the shot turned out to be like a half fade away.

Our big fellows realize that in the fourth quarter. We had our fair share of fouls not called then. That was the main reason why the score was so low in the fourth quarter.

Man..those suites are SO EMPTY. I wish I could somehow contact the suite owners and ask if I could use them. Even the ones with people...there were only like 1 or 2 in each suite. So nice... I wish I could be in those.

Good point. In particular, the hardwork and rebounding by our big men was in fact the key for our win. We outrebounded Magic by 16! That always gives you a win.

An example was in the fourth quarter, in at least 3 plays, Yao picked off offensive rebounds among the Magic bush. We finally scored to keep a distance from the Magic. Also, we got many key defensive rebounds and steal. At one point, we scored 16 points off their seven TO. We played the fast break well.

Another amazing stat reflects how well we passed the ball. We outassisted the other team! Did it sound usual for Rocket last year?

Yea...from what I've heard, they're REALLY trying to unload the rest of those suites, but the market just isn't dictating their asking price.

This HAD to be expected... going from a building that had 10-12 suites to one with 90+, and at the same time, not increasing the fan base by that much = marketing nightmare.

Plus, you're not going to see many companies out there that own Astros and Texans suites to pony up the money to buy Rockets suites as well... only the huge companies can afford THREE expenditures like that.

In many ways, TC is getting no love because its the LAST of the three newbies... but it will be used the most often.

ttboy --- Nice post. I agree with most of your points. Just one tiny suggestion:

    Space Breaks.

Much easier on the eyes. And while it sounds silly, people are less likely to read your posts when the they come in one big chunk. (This post probably sounds anal and nit-picky, for that i apologize, but i really mean this with the best intentions. You had some good things to say. They should be read.)

They were booing because Steve was running out the clock instead of going for the free Big Macs.

When the Rockets score more than 99 points or reach the 100 point mark in points scored, everybody who attends the game or has a ticket to the game receives a free Big Mac from McDonald's. The score was 96-84 with about 1 minute left to go. We were all cheering..wanting the Rockets to score and make the 100 point mark...Francis was still trying...JVG was still standing up urging them to go...and Francis drove in and made a pass out to Mobley in the right wing...Mobley wasn't paying attention...just standing there...and could have shot a 3 to make it 99! But instead he travelled or doubledribbled. We got the ball back with 40 seconds left to go. Francis just stood and posted up against Tyronn Lue for about 18 seconds like next to scoretable with Bill Worrell and Calvin Murphy. We wanted them to score...so we could get our free Big Mac! So people started booing...but then...when the game ended...everyone gave a standing ovation. :D

It was cool..power dancers are hot...drummers are cool. And Jose Lima, some professional golfer, and Carroll Dawson was there! And uhh...I think I saw Maurice Taylor sitting across from the Rockets bench. But I'm not very sure. I saw a lot of my friends there...:) Very fun! We're going to the Suns game!

Well, come on!!! They could have score 4 more points! They just played sloppy at the end.

My section was really upset we didn't get out big macs!!!

We only booed as he ran the clock down, then we cheered for the win at the end of the game.

Great post, ttboy, tonight Yao did act more aggressive although the shots just didn't fall in. He didn't just stand around or simply set the pick like before.

It is a baby step for him, and I do expect shot percentage go down when he is in the progress changing his mind set and attitude for the game. Forget about the shot percentage, I am not worried about this about Yao, when he settle himself in, get comfortable about his game, it will definitely go up.

Hats off to SF3 and Cat (and JJ), no only they played a great game, they were the key to this win, but they continued to give Yao the ball when he asked, trust him, let him work for his shot, gain his confidence.

I see the guards being mature. Great for Rox.

In our defense as fans, we were making a lot of noice, the least francis could and the Rockets could have done was try to get us a free big mac. When they were so close!!!!

My section was really loud continuously chanting defense!!!! Man we were loud!! And the whole building was loud.

Reward a good fan base by trying to get them a big mac. Come on that was only 4 points in 1 minute plus. That could have been done.

Thanks Rasselas, I'll make sure to do so next time. I'm mostly just a reader of the BBS and post quite rarely so the consideration of space breaks to ease readability escaped my mind. I only posted tonight because Yetti's sourpuss/killjoy posts following this solid win really rubbed me the wrong way.

Steve's dunk over Juwan Howard was SICK. Yao had a bad game, but the criticism he is getting is because we expect sooooo much more from him. We all know he can do better than just 11 points. That is just unacceptable form him. However it was nice seeing him getting a technical. I really wanted to see him punch someone . :)

Yes, he was more aggressive there. Mind you, he had 16 not 11 points. He was aggressive at defence (for most times) too. He show his hand to TMAC several times. But sometimes, when he helped out his teammates in team defence, he lost his own man. I guess that will improe when they were better at JVG system.
