Im fine with it because if James leaves I'd rather have a rebuild and start over. Wall isn't enough to win with. Orlando's problem is they have a lot of depth but no star.
I feel like Wall fits great with Vucevic and he can keep them competitive for many years in the East. They are closer to contenders with him than without. And they aren't bad enough for the lottery. They are one of the few teams in this weird spot like the Rockets were pre Harden. Good enough to compete but not really a contender.
this is getting dangerous I am taking this game as a litmus test... in past rockets rarely performed well when the opponent was decimated
100% agree Time'll tell…but yeah, we gonna grab a lot of quality role players for a rebuild or something. In the long run, it won't work to rob Peter by pay Paul i.e. even starting from scratch we need a bigger plan like wht GSW did thru enrolling right pieces to fit in a curry-thompson core, or like wht GM lbj did two yrs ago to carve out a brand new LAL squad by getting rid of ball, ingram n bringing in AD & others… A championship caliber team start from an ambitious boss as well as a GM who understand the business, got the vision, know the ropes to work things out step by step. Things won't happen all at a sudden.
Orlando is going to have to run out their G leaguers. Absolute must win game. Have to take advantage.
