You're not wrong, good eyes. Healthy team + Chemistry + Communication = This team, our team, can do amazing things.
Harden has been killing it with the floaters lately, keep em coming! Can Faried stop celebrating every dunk like he's doing something special lol
40 point games are not normal. Don't be fooled. To score 40 points in a game is an amazing feat. A player must find a way to score 40 points against the best coaches, the best players, and the best teams in the entire world. If a guy drops 40 points on you then something went wrong. The players didn't do a good job defending, or the coach game planned poorly. The other option is that maybe the walking bucket just imposed his or her will onto the scoreboard. Still, if someone lets loose for 40 on you then something went wrong. You let someone do something that isn't ordinary. Paul George has 11 career 40-point games. For Reggie Miller it's 12. Ray Allen has 16 of them. For Kyrie Irving it's 18. David Robinson and Clyde Drexler got 23 of those each. Paul Pierce has 24 career 40-point games. Barkley with 26. 27 for Dirk. The Moses Malone has 28 career 40-point games. Did I mention this all includes the playoffs? This is the most they could do in their career. These are all guys who got buckets in some shape or form. All these games were phenomenal, and the talk of the town the next day. That's because 40-points is not normal. And yet James Harden has had 18 40-point games in this single season with 33 games left to go. I saw 40 points written into the box score, and didn't flinch. James Harden has conditioned us to think 40 points is normal. It is not. Holy crap.
It wasn't enough to attract LeBron, but who knows, maybe after this year we can attract a big star to play with James, Clint, and CP3. Thompson? There's always hope.
Why? Capela celebrates after a lot of his dunks. Let him enjoy playing the game and getting the crowd into it.
40 is the new "30" for Harden exclusively. He's an extremely proficient scoring machine now and no one can stop him legally. He's the best player on Earth for a reason......
One of Harden's new weapons, along with the floater (which he should use more), the midrange step back! Why not? When defenses are focused on stopping the drives to the basket by James, Eric and others, and guarding the 3 point line and our several shooters from there, find or create a brief open midrange space (step back for James) and take the 2, and possibly an "and one." Why not mix things up a bit? We don't want to be too predictable. We also have one of the best midrange shooters in the Association in Chris Paul. In my opinion.
It almost turned into 1/17 missed 3's type of loss at the end. When the 3's don't fall drive the basket or shoot a midrange.
That shot isn't new, Harden used to stick dagger step back 2s to win games a few seasons ago. It's as if he forgot he had that.
Lol will they ever learn? they lost the spurs series and gsw series last year because no midrange philosophy...too stubborn to their own detriment
He is hungry for this opportunity and his career has been revived plus he was the one asking the crowd to get off their feet last night so you definitely want that from your players.
