Clutchfans Game Thread: Lakers @ Rockets 9/8/2020 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 3)

We didn't count on this version of Rondo.

 

MDA needs to step up too, Lakers have been out coaching Rockets last two 4th quarters.

Aside from untimely turnovers in 4th and Lakers forcing Rockets to play at slower pace, Rockets rotation has been ****.

With House out and RoCo injured, MDA went with 7 mannrotation in 4th and Rockets looked dead legged on defense giving up 30 in crunch time.

And for Gawd's sake, no more Russ only line ups, especially in the 4th.

 

With House out DMC needs to see the floor. At least he is an additional body who can defend and occasionally hit a 3. But of course MDA guna MDA.

 

Rockets have been part of top 3 most watched NBA games in bubble.

Is NBA greed going to step in to extend series?

Get scoring from the bench and we will be fine. the Lakers are getting lots of help from there

 

Not as easy as it sounds.

 

in pre-game warmups fakers were serious and focused while our guys were joking and clowning around. reminded me of game 6 last year vs worriers. mda does not get these guys mentally prepared, he has no sense of urgency before or during the games and it influences the entire team

i dunno, these guys have more info than i do -- maybe you shouldn't really take a marc davis reffed game seriously anyways?

btw the game 6 i alluded to above was also a marc davis production..

 

Did not seem to bother Rockets for first 3 quarters.

 

but fakers (especially leroids) were definitely more focused and pumped those first 3 quarters, maybe we build a lead w/ the same intensity as well?

Not with Marc Davis and Scott Foster setting the tone.

Rockets did damn well even with biased officiating, just wish there was more discipline and fight at end of 4th.

 

Exactly. He’s going to stand on the sidelines with his arms crossed hoping that the Rockets figure things out. Let’s hope for the best!

He's managed to construct one legitimately great team in 10+ years. Beyond that, his team was never among the best.
