ClutchFans Game Thread: Lakers @ Rockets 4/25/2004 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 4)

I now understand why long time Rox fans hate Malone.

Being new in town it eluded me and I tended to 'respect' Malone.

After being at the game and seeing him in action he is definately dirty and nasty - will BOO him everytime he touches it Sunday.

His nastiness doesn't come out on TV as it does on court for whatever reason. I watch many Bull's playoff games on TV against Jazz, but never attended any of games in person.

Too bad Rox don't have someone who can get inside his head like Rodman used to.

I used to sort of think he deserved a ring - now - FORGET IT.

That goes for Gary Payton too - he's become a whinner - not a winner.

Yao is definately getting a crash course between Shaq and Malone!!!

 

We'll prevail! Rockets trash the Lakers today 102-86!

i love how the previews for todays game all say "LA looks to get back on track" or "LA looking for split in Houston".



how about "The Houston Rockets, riding an emotional high after their first playoff win in five years, look to tie their series 2-2"



we havent won a playoff SERIES since 1997 when we beat the Wolves in the first round

98-lost in first round to Utah
99- lost in first round to La Lakers


so give me all the odds, I believe we will win this game and make it a two out of three series

Boy it kills me to be in LA during a Houston playoff game at home - - really poor planning on my part. BUT - - - I WILL be home in time for the 6th game in Houston and would love to see the Rocks close out LA at home.....so

For those going to the game today - RAISE HELL!!!!! see you at toyota next Friday...

 

I'll be at the Toyota Center today supporting our Rockets to the fullest. Also expect a BIG game from Yao Ming & of course another victory!

 

Yao will be determined to show his stuff after all the taunting and cheap shots that Malone did.

we gonna lose..there's no way on earth kobe gonna have 2 bad games in a row...but i'm crossing my fingers.........this is a do or die game...if the lakers win this one..we're doom

 

i dunno why, but i have a strong feeling that this is going to be a tight game and the Rockets will end up losing by single digit like the first game again......i hope i'm wrong though.

 

That's what I want to see. a "major subject" Yao has to go through...

Taking this series back to LA tied 2-2 would be huge. Wouldn't it be great to make Kobe's last game as a Faker (possible scenario) a first round loss?

 

And Payton's and Malone's last game as well.

 

Get used to it. Every game that we beat the Lakers on National TV all they did was still talk about the lakers doing something wrong and not giving credit to the Rockets great play....

 

Why doesn't ABC take the time to put this in FULL HD

 

I truly believe that this game is for the series. If the Rockets win, it is a best two out of three series with one game in Houston. Then there is a very real chance the Rockets could hand the Lakers a first round defeat. I salivate just thinking about it. If the Rockets lose, for all practical purposes, it's over. All I ask Rockets, give it your very best shot. Good decisions, lots of hustle, suffocating defense, and low turnovers. Heck, if you play that good you might as well go ahead and WIN IT! GO ROCKETS; KICK THE LAKER'S BUTTS!!!

 

Hate this crap i am watching right now and they have all this damn interview stuff with the lakers and laker stories and not one thing about the rockets. What a bunch of crock.
