When Yao and Francis are both out, the team suffers.

We see it again just now.

It's pathetic that Van Gundy can't analyze that after this many games.

Puts one of them back in now!

JVG's substitutions are idiotic~! Yao has such a mismatch right now and Yao isnt in?!?!?

I don't understand the substitution patterns of JVG right now. Francis was playing beautifully and Yao was doing a damn good job of avoiding that 3rd foul.

SF3 looked pissed sitting on the bench.

Why did JVG take Yao out of the game? Big guy was having momo going and we can easily extend the lead to 15-16 before half.

    Now a 7 point lead instead.

No idea. Maybe he wants Yao save some energy to guard Shaq?

I would have left Yao in and get a few more points ahead.

JVG should tell them to attach the basket and get to the FT line. Get that Cook foul out as soon as possible to take away any backup of Shaq!

Good stuff. Francis is even hitting it from the perimeter now.

JVG wants to play a fair game.

If Shaq is not in, he is gonna limit Yao's minutes and let him earn his points against the Daddy.

So far, so good for Yao:

    Yao 14-6-1

    Daddy 9-2-0

The last play again shows how stupid Mobley is.

Please tell me your joking. I'm more concerned about his health than an offensive foul called against him.

Shaq's day as MDE is numbered. :D

I love how Rox moved the ball around in the 2nd quarter. And why is Phil Jackson guarding Yao one-on-one when Shaq is out?

He's going to be fine. I'm not joking thought. That stupid play got himself into this situation.

Well, playing the determined Shaq must be taking a lot of Yao in the first half. He is clearly more tired than he is usually at the end of first half.

Shaq didn't play many minutes in the first half, so our big guys have to be prepared for the second half.

There is some communication problem between Yao and SF, clearly on the p&r play. SF was tring to do what MJ always does but somehow Yao was expecting different. I wonder whether they two practise this play enough.
