It's funny that I draw the opposite conclusions from your points. 1) Yao would have 3 days rest, well Shaq will be playing back to back. So Shaq will be dead tired while Yao will be fresh. Shaq will try to go one-on-one on Yao and forget basketball is a team game. 2) Kobe will try to take over the game and be selfish and cost the Lakers the game in the fourth quarter. 3) Payton will be b****ing on the bench, and playing no defense on Francis. The gloves came off as usual. 4) Lakers bench is one of the worst in the league. Enough said. 5) Rockets backcourt plays stupid often. However, they always step up and play controlled game when facing Lakers.

(1) Yao is tired. Shaq was humilated the last time they played. If you thinhk Yao will win the battle again, you must be crazy. BUT this game is on National TV (2) Kobe has returned to his best form. In the last 4 games he piled up 41 assists including one triple double. Kobe just went to court today (3) Payton showed his dissatisfaction with his playing time and determined to demonstrate his value. He has been playing much better after the talk. Payton wants to join Rockets, he will not hurt our feelings (4) The bench has become much more experienced since the last time the Lakers played the Rox. Cook, Grant, and Walton are doing really well coming off the bench backing up the 4 and the 5. Kato shot 5-5 tonight (5) Rush and Fisher are shooting better as well. A stroke of lukcy ( a la Shang hai) (6) Rox's backcourt will be their normal self again: shooting 30% and staying away from the inside out game. But JJ will step up! ______________________ "The feeling of being tired is a bad feeling, but the feeling of losing is even worse." - Yao Ming after playing 49 mins in a 3-OT win against the Hawks "Its his character? This will be an interesting game. I predict the rockets will lose, but I will be pulling for a Laker sweep this season. Who knows what will happen with these rockets. I hope Yao embarasses Shaq again so that we can all observe his reaction to it.
Lakers are a lot better now than they were last month. Lakers 94 Rockets 88 (but if the Rockets win this game, go ahead a put an L down for the game in LA, because we have never swept a regular season series from the Lakers in our history, and these rockets have too many incapabilities in order for that to happen this year.
I have put $100 on the Lakers. Will you be doing the same on the Rox? It would be easy money for you would it not?
how will yao adjust to shaq's agressiveness? that will say a lot. i will predict that Shaq tries to do too much, and Yao still gets the better of him. but you are right in that the lakers are playing better now, it will be tough to win.
For some reason, the Rox rise up for big games...I see this as no different, regardless of what happened with Seattle... Rox: 105 Fakers: 99
I predict a win! Rox always play well on TV and against the Rox.. they just match up well with certain teams like Lakers and Clippers. Anyways expect a big game from our stars Yao and Stevie French Fries! They are out to prove a point! J
This one is going to get ugly; the Lakers have one thing on their mind, revenge. If the Rockets win this one, it will be a huge lift, but not going to happen. Lakers by 20+ Just be thankful Malone is not back, then I would not recommend anyone under 21 to watch, too much violence.
