They totally ignored Yao for more than five minutes, and let the Lakers back in the game!! Ugghhh-AWFUL!!!!!
The Lakers just executed better than us down the stretch. This game just shows why the Rockets are not in the same caliber with the elite teams in the West. Hopefully we won't go on a three-game losing streak from here.
The game turning point was Yao's 4th careless foul. Rockets had all the momentum. After he went to the bench, the Rockets only scored 4 points and the Lakers narrowed the lead from 15 to 8.
I would just like to take this opportunity to say what's on my mind concerning this game: ******* ROCKETS **** **** **** DAMN **** Thank you, and goodnight.
Shaq didn't kick the ball intentionally. I thought he fouled Steve, but only after Steve already lost the ball. Yeah it sucks , but I have to say it was a good call.
It's looking like we might actually miss the playoffs now, if portland wins we're what, only 3 games up on them?
Once again... they left it out on the floor tonight. Mistakes were made, as well as great plays. There were times when the offensive execution looked flawless... there were times when it was suspect. These two teams are pretty even head-to-head, and the Lakers played great in the second half. Regardless... I'm sure had we won, it wouldn't give a chance for some of u to start complaining... calling this game "classic Rockets???" Wouldn't "classic Rockets" mean that we win, since we've beaten the Lakers all year? It was a good game... we came up short... lets get 'em next time.
I'm with you on that one, no fault, no blame. They played a great game, just came up a little short. I will take this effort every night.
yao is to much of a team player to do that...u are gonna get bashed to in a bit. Yao should not take the blame. The team didnt pass him the damn ball.
Mobley made only 2 shots the entire game....how pathetic is that!!!! And why the hell both guards keep taking turn turning over the ball in the 4th quarter while Yao keep making shots. It's sooo stupid seeing that.
yeah, that's what it boils down to. the rox lack that killer instinct; they should've put it away in the 3rd, but instead they relaxed and left the lakers in it. dissapointing loss to say the least.... but it was a fantastic game, and, with due time and experience, hopefully the rox will acquire the instinct to put teams out early when they can. but you've still got to wonder what the rockets were thinking when oneal was on the bench midway through the 4th, and yao barely touched the ball on like 4 straight possessions...... that was frustrating as all holy hell......
Well, something seems to have changed, its now Yao taking end of quarter shots instead of Francis. Lakers were on fire from the 3-point land in the 4th, we just need better priemter D since our team as a whole can't cope with shooters. Great game though, it would have been amazing if we had won. -G'day-
I did not see the game...but can someone tells me why Fisher, Luke and Payton making 3 out there in the 4th??? Is it because they doubled Shaq or is it because Lakers just lucky throwing them up and they went in??? Man, they were hitting their 3 from downtown, that's how they make the comeback and take the lead.
is this shaq posting with moomoo's screen name? i'm pretty sure if you stick your foot out at the ball and hit it that's a kick ball. what part of that wasn't intentional, unless shaq has no control over what his foot does?
I just get tired of Cat and Steve driving to the hole and jumping into the defender for an offensive foul. It would be so much easier if they just stop and pop from 8 feet. They need to go see Calvin Murphy or watch Sam Cassell those guys are masters at it..... DD
