I disagree. I don't think Yao can't defense Boozer. Yao can defense anyone if he has enough rest and energy. Unfortunately Yao always play too many minutes. BTW, please tell me how many centers in NBA can guard boozer who is a pf?

Did anyone noticed the Ankle Breaking move by Kobe on Battier ? I know Battier did an awesome job on Kobe but that was really funny and a pretty move by T-Mac.

    Landry's defense is weak. Hayes' D > Scola's D > Landry's D

LOS ANGELES LAKERS HEAD COACH PHIL JACKSON

(on the key to the game) "More than anything, it was their runs in the second and fourth quarters that helped them establish the lead. Our defense didn't communicate well and we're not in position and didn't close out on their three point shots. We had a run in the second and fourth quarters but I thought Kobe (Bryant) got tired in the last four or five minutes."

(on the Rockets) "They share the ball and their defense is solid. I thought Tracy (McGrady) had as poor a game as he had all season and I think that shows how good their team really is. Rafer Alston was difficult to guard for any of our players. He had a good night."

(on Shane Battier's defense of Kobe Bryant) "It was very good defense and he kept him off his rhythm all game."

(on the Rockets' 22-game win streak) "It's continuous. Here they go again and they played big today. They keep on winning and that is the key."

    LAMAR ODOM

(on the Rockets) "Rafer Alston....31 points....says a lot and everyone else contributed and that makes it tough. They made a run and we couldn't control them."

(on the Rockets' 22-game winning streak) "From playing them you can tell it is very deserving. They are a very good basketball team."

    RONNY TURIAF

(on the game) "They hit their 3's and made some very tough shots. It's unfortunate we lost but if we had made our shots in the fourth quarter it could have been a different outcome."

    KOBE BRYANT

(on Shane Battier's defense) "He is a good defensive player but my shot was flat. Obviously, not in the stretch not having Pau (Gasol), we are going to have to shoot a lot more pull-up jump shots and won't be able to zone up and crowd the lane on me. I gotta knock those down."

(on the Rockets' bench) "Bobby Jackson was a great addition for them, he came in tonight and had 19 points off the bench, he hurt us. It was a great acquisition, bench players that come in for them, Luther Head played well, and their bench is their key to this long streak."

    DEREK FISHER

(on the Rockets) "They are to be commended for the way they come to work every game and do whatever it takes to get the job done. That says a lot about them and who they are and their abilities. They are consistent every game and that has been key."

    LUKE WALTON

(on the Rockets) "It starts with the fact they are playing the right way and then they have a super star in (Tracy) McGrady and anything is possible. Was their streak likely? No. But they have been playing outstanding basketball. They do a great job of covering for each other and then they recover back to the 3-point shooters so well."

    TRACY McGRADY

(on the 22-game winning streak) "Let's keep it going. Let's keep it going. We knew this was going to be a tough game with them having a guy like Kobe Bryant who's such a fierce competitor. I knew he wanted to break the streak, especially on our court. I knew he wanted to break the streak. This was a good test for us, we came out and took care of business. Let's keep it going. We've a very humble group and we believe in ourselves."

    BOBBY JACKSON

(on the Rockets' holding off the Lakers in the 3rd quarter) "This is the NBA so we know that teams are going to make a run. We started that 3rd quarter without a basket for 6 minutes and that is not typical of us, but you're going to go through some droughts. We didn't get down, we stayed composed and we continued to stay within our game. We toughed it out and made things happen at the end."

    SHANE BATTIER

(on defending Kobe Bryant) "There's no one tougher to guard in the league. LeBron (James) is up there, but chasing that guy (Kobe Bryant) around you want a Budweiser or 2 after the game because you've earned it."

Shane slipped on a wet spot on the floor. It didn't matter much, though, because Kobe still missed the shot.

What are you talking about? Yao couldn't guard Okur who was regularly stationary at 3pt line, he couldn't guard Boozer because he was too quick for him. Those are just plain fact, the Jazz knew it, the Rockets knew it, and everyone in the arena knew it, but those were expected, and the Jazz is just a bad match-up for Yao. The sad part was that Yao couldn't do anything against Okur on the other end, that's what caused the Rockets the game, and the series!

But, why are we talking about the Utah series while we are in the midst of a historical 22-game winning streak?!

Shane Battier deserved as much credit as Alston or Bobby Jackson. Battier really make Kobe work for everything. But the bench were great...Scola did what he's supposed to do....hustling for loose ball and giving us second chance and drawing foul going to the line.

I don't know how you get that video but I would sure like it as well. I have never seen the fans scream so much after watch ing something on the Jumbotron. Everyone was standing and going nuts. Especially when they showed Yao and said where the best Center in the league happens. I suspect Rockets.com will have it eventually.

Yao can guard okur or boozer in paint, and he can beat them in the paint,do you agree that?
I admit that yao can NOT defense okur's three too much.
Do okur always can shot enough three to let jazz win?
Who will you pick if you are a coach and you must choose between a center with over 50% fg and a center with 38% three?

It is sad that scola is step up a little late or we would be surprised that rockets can beat jazz with a healthy yao&Tmac and scola as a starter with landry as backup pf.

Yes you are part right. But my point is the reason that sometimes yao's defense against okur and boozer does not work much not because yao himself but the rotation and tactics.

OH MY GOODNESS SKIP 2 MY LOU!!!! He is the new basketball king of New York. He's been HUGE all season and he's only showing more and more why he was brought here in the first place. This is a total team effort and I truly feel this streak WILL REACH 33 GAMES!!! Screw the "LakeShow"!! Here comes the "RockShow" baby!!! :) :D

The Nuggets put up 84 in the 1st half. They have 116 with 3 min left in the 3rd and are up by 40.

150 pts is a real possibility.
