Do u guys think the rox can get pass the 1st round with there current line up.I thought they could win it all this year with yao, but now i don't think they can get pass the 1st round.Since yap has went down we had lot of breaks with teams stars coming out. When we had yao we blow pass spurs,NO with all there players healthy.I know i might get flamed, but still.I will have to see how they play thorugh the next 4 gms.

I think he's so ignorant he doesnt even know who Landry is..and he probably thought Yao is average 5pts 5 rbs and could easily destroyed by Pau Gasol.

I'm assuming you were at the game in person. I would appreciate a brief synopsis from you about it and especially about Tracy's failure to rise up to the occasion barring the 4th quarter.
I'm sorry I didn't realize that you were in LA, Yoyo. I'm sure that the Faker fans will continue to make excuses for their defeat.

Tuesday is going to be fun. My wife's family is from the Boston area, so it should make it interesting. I told her how the Rox are going to anihilate the Celts and she don't believe me. See you in the finals Boston.

On another note, maybe today was the start of another double digit win streak.

Where the Rockets make anything possible happens!!!

even JVG said the same thing. he didn't know why they keep doubling tracy on the pick and rolls and on those screens and just ignoring alston. though tracy didn't shoot well, he did have an impact. and he did score 9 pts in the 4th.

I don't like to hate on other teams. It's not like we get to pick our home towns, but I really, really don't like Lakers fans. I had a lot of respect for the Showtime era and all, but I hated all the bandwagoners that knew nothing about basketball and talked smack during the Shaq era. Rest assured none of these guys knew who Kermit Washington was.

Some of you may recall a certain back to back, Lakers at Rockets followed by Rockets at Lakers during the "Big 3" era. Barkley grabbed Shaq's heels and left him on the floor. Both ended up suspended for the second game. Which was a shame -- my favorite thing to see when Barkley played for the Rockets was to see how much the crowd in LA hated him. They'd all chant "Barkley sucks" when he would shoot FT's (and it was deafening) and he'd just smile at them through his mouthpiece.

It was inspiring. I'd never see fans hate on a player as much as the Lakers fans did to Chuck, and he played up to it. So, to show my solidarity for the Rockets (and piss off my co-workers) I sent the Rockets a bouqet of flowers when the Barkley-less Rockets played the Shaq-less Lakers. I still don't know if Rudy T ever got them, but it made me feel better.

But then, we are talking about Laker fans. Fans that start shooting each other and setting things on fire when they won their championships. While we are all aware of how r****ded and mean-spirited Jazz (and Dallas fans in general) are, take a minute to appreciate how good it is to force the smug Lakers fans into spin mode today, even though they fought their way from the bottom just like we did, lost key guys just like we did, and found themselves tied with us for top of the west. The difference is, in the end, they think they are owed a title because they are the Lakers, which, IMHO, makes them worse than the Jazz and Mav fans who have yet to win a damn thing.

My last NBA game in person was at the Staples Center, when the Rockets played the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs (seems like forever ago). After the Rockets won, I got jeered at and threatened all the way to my car.

But I will say this. I don't think it's an LA thing. I never got that treatment watching the Astros in Dodger Stadium, or watching the Rockets get an easy 20 point win vs. the Clippers. It's a distaste I aim specifically at the blue haired bimbos who cheered for Kobe Bryant during his rape trial, and the fans that caused the crime rate to spike in my adjacent neighborhood after key wins.

So this win was special for me. To see Rafer Alston have a career day against them was a gift from the basketball gods. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Happy 22, even if this post now officially marks me as a grumpy old man.

Lakers fans have a sense of entitlement thats why they always have a thread blamming refs after every loss on their forums. Its pretty pathetic.
