Juwan and Wesley need to be replaced by Head and Hayes if we want to win, right now. What JVG is thinking playing our rookies so little, I don't know. But as of right now, regardless of Tmac's shooting, we in no case should have been blown out by the Lakers. I don't care if Kobe is hot, if Brian Cook is hot, etc. This loss was unacceptable and one that falls squarely on the insistence of not using Hayes. I don't care if we were shopping Swift, today was not the day to try it. If anything, not playing Hayes may become more detrimental to his development. Today's loss - on JVG. Play Hayes, and we will be okay.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me point out to you when the game is lost.

It was in 3rd quarter, the Rockets made a serious run led by Yao and led by 1 point. PJ called a timeout. The Lakers put the ball in Kobe's hand. Not until Kobe hit 5 in a row against Dwes, JVG called timeout. After the timeout, Yao was out, the rockets put out a small lineup and put the ball in Tmac's hands. Lakers quickly doubled on top of the key. Tmac tried to pass out double team, which was intercepted by Kobe. Lakers went on a 11-0 run, and closed out the quarter strong.

    The rockets never recovered.

This game was the WORST GAME OF THE YEAR

This game was the WORST GAME OF THE YEAR

    God,
I felt like the freaking Denmark flag in the middle east cartoon protest watching this game.

    1. we had a healthy TMAC and YAO
    2. we were at home
    3. we played the team whom we are chasing in the playoff game
    4. we're playing Phil Jackson
    5. we're playing Kobe
    6. we're playing the Lakers
    7. we were on a winning streak.

And we bent over like Brokeback Mountain.
this was HORRIBLE. you mean to tell me all you have to do is double Tmac and Yao and we'll lose? good freaking grief. this game sent us back to being the worst team in the league. How on earth do you let Brian Cook and Deavan George beat us?? Deavan George was throwing AIRBALLS last night against the MAVS!!!

JUWAN SUCKS. STRO SUCKS. BOWEN SUCKS.

    VAN GRUMPY SUCKS.

you know how we lost? you what GENIUS plan Phil had on offense??

    ISO KOBE.

    Rudy T is smiling.

I felt the first memphis game was pretty bad, myself. Sure we had no excuses this time, but damn that was a painful game to watch. This could've gone in the gamethread, btw.

Can't add much to that. I've gathered there's been friction between JVG and Barry for a while now, but didn't think much of it. Of course, Barry starting off the first game of the season by taking a couple of digs at JVG in a pregame speech probably didn't help.

I think part of the "missing fun" might be from having Sura out, really. It's also my contention that the season started off under a cloud with a surprise trade on the first day of training camp. Regardless of the relative merits of the players involved, it can't be good for morale to start training camp with, "Guess what? We're sending one of you to Toronto." Then you had injuries in abundance, and the ensuing losses... little wonder this season is "not fun at all".

God help me, but I'm already looking forward to the draft.

Yeah, really hard to watch George dominate the boards against Stro and whoever else was trying to box him out.

Huge game. Lakers stepped up, we laid a giant turd. Can't say i'm exactly surprised, we've been blowing games against playoff race competition for years now.

i'm sorry. maybe i should have made it a poll on what was the worst game.

I'm usually on JVG's case, but this was a BIG GAME. I remember Rudy's troops never had a horrid showing on big games. we've had heart breakers but we never got beaten down on a big game.

We need to do something, make a trade, fire somebody, whatever. this is deplorable. ESPECIALLY GET WHIPPED AT HOME. why is the attendance so bad? cause we suck at home.

CD, time to make some moves son!!!!!!!

The fans of Houston are tired of this ****, this team in not capable of contending for anything, even the 8th spot!
    We should go fishing with:
    1. Swift
    2. D.A.
    3. Wesley
    4. Howard

    and not,
    1.T-Mac
    2.Yao
    3. Rafer
    4. Head
    5. Hayes

Yeah JVG pisses people off and confuses the hell out of people, but it seems that EVERY game the Rockets lose, it's fire JVG, but during the 4 game winning streak, no one seemed to compliment JVG or anything...Maybe like 10 posters in total on this board think he's a good coach.

We just didn't have the energy or the intensity, or the hustle, or the shot...

T-Mac shot is off...he's been shooting like 34% the last few games, is it his back? Maybe it's just a slump he's going through? Everyone goes through a slump.

Yao is definately still getting fatigued quickly.

We should be able to beat the Jazz and the Knicks (again) But the Clippers, although maybe not as good as their record is, aren't pushovers...and the Suns...if we can't beat the Lakers we shouldn't think about them right now.

YAO did better job on the defense. other ROX players are suxxxxxx on D

TMAC had a horrible game and totally owned by KOBE.

Kobe 5 straight shots nailed the game. YAO had bad offensive game, he didnt read the Double-team very well

Hayes is not a freaking savior.

I like Hayes as much as the next Rocket fan. He hustles and rebounds well for his size, but he has trouble playing help defense and has mental lapses in general. We all know that with JVG, if you do not play good help defense, you will not play. He plainly said in in the chronicle a week or so ago about the Chuckster.

You can't win when you're two allstars have offnights on offense. Period!

The played hard. They played tough. They just were not able to get Yao and/or TMac going tonight and they had someone outside of Kobe step up and make some shots for once.

I know y'all are dissapointed and mad at the outcome, but remember this team has still won 4-6 since Yao has returned and he nor TMac have hit their stride together yet.

What is the world are you talking about dude??????? We almost blew a game against a Redd less team, a Marbury less team, we scored a measly 80 points against a pathetic defensive team in Phili.........were u actually satisfied with any of those wins???? I can tell you I wasnt...........it was just a matter of time until the wheels came off............and this game did it...
