Looks like he finally decided to play... I'm just thankful that he didn't bring this intensity earlier in the game.
Awful - just awful. Why don't they put a quicker, shorter player on Odom - he's not a good post-up player and Yao's presence would neurtalize him inside.
Offensive rebounds are killing us in the fourth it seems. Nobody can stop Odom. This is very scary how badly we collapsed, win or lose. I think with McGrady shooting so poorly though, it will be a good character win if we can hold on.
Damn Yao needs to look for the 3 point shooters once he gets the ball around the free throw line. David Wesley is only 5 for 6 from behind the line, hello.
What the h*ll is Jeff Van Gundy doing!? Running Rod Strickland and Weatherspoon in there while the Lakers are making a run. And then using a frontline of Juwan Howard and Weatherspoon instead of putting Mutombo in there. That of course let Odom do whatever he felt like doing since there wasn't a shot-blocker in the game. It's going to cost us this game with crap substitutions like that.
This is why we need a tall, physical, defensive-minded PF, for games against players like Odom. Now the Rockets are missing free-throws. Nothing like choking on national T.V. Better pull this game out.
All these closeups of Kobe makes me sick... I wish someone would go up to him and stomp on his ankle a few times then throw the ball in his face...
LAKERS BY ONE....I lose this biased announcing! Hate to admit it guys, but this Lakers team on the court might be the worst in the Western Conference. ANd the Rockets are wilting against them. I just don't think the Rox are a playoff team yet.
