    Yao is definitely playing with more fire than the last meeting. Heck...this is much better than most centers play against Shaq.

    I believe Karl Malone is needed back more than Kobe or Payton. Horace Grant or this Medvedenko guy are not good substitutes for Karl Malone.

    Game observation after 3 Qs:

    Steve and Cat are playing OUTSTANDING all around, well-controlled game.

    Mo provided some needed scoring in the 1st half.

    Yao is playing a tie with Shaq. His outside shot is off, but this is his most aggresive showing against Shaq in the 4 meetings between them. Nice work on the board.

    Smeg is just trying to be funny... and it is funny. What's not funny is how the guards have played for most of the other games this year. Or that Mobley is shooting 38% in his last 20 games. Combined the Rockets guard duo is 13-18 from the field right now, with 13 assists.... this through 3 quarters. What's not to love about that?

    But where have you been as a combo this season?

    if they played every game the way they play the lakers then the rockets would be set, this will be a great win but i am not buying this as progress...they always play well against the lakers....Yao playing even with shaq this year is major progress though...that is impressive...
