(edited out for your reading pleasure - quoted elsewhere)

I don't curse, but that kind of insensitive remark got me real stinkin' close.

Think before you post something so possibly hateful and insensitive.

Sure, you didn't know - although I've discussed it before (and as recent as last night in D&D) - but really that becomes way stinkin' too personal.

Don't do it again or you'll on my top five most ignored list.;)

Apologies, in that case. Although you must realize that when someone says "your mama," they don't mean it literally.

Being taken literally around here as often as I do... I just also expect that people post what they mean.

It's okay. I just get real... well, AM real sensitive about that phrase. And surely, too defensive.

Sorry for the over reaction. ;)

My apologies in return... I shall delete one sentence, at least. :)

Shaq: "Oh snap! Uh, I think I lost my lasik... err, contact."

    Yao: "Get up Grandma."

    or

Shaq: "I bow before your dynasty-ness."

    Yao: "Get up Grandma."

    I love it! :D

    It's wonderful!

I love Shaq's quotes. There is so much frustration in him saying "I don't think Yao could beat me one on one ever, ever, ever".

It reminds me a lot of how Francis and Mobley did not want to acknowledge how good Dallas was after we lost to them several times..."they could not beat us one-on-one, so they hid in a zone".

    So what?!

Rockets with YAO 3 - 1 Lakers with Shaq !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it's all about motivation against Shaq. Just ask yourself this: Is it easier to handle a 340lb Shaq or two 250lb+ average players constantly fronting you? As good as Shaq is, he's no double team. Yao was actually having easier time with only Shaq defending him.

My theory: Steve usually plays constipated, so when he takes a crap during the first quarter, he feels more comfortable.:D

``When a guy that size gets going, he's hard to stop,'' Horace Grant said. ``He got going tonight and he was a dominant center. He's a great passer and defender. There was no slack in his game. He was shooting, blocking shots and passing. It was his night tonight.''

I don't really care that much what these Lakers fans have to say, but some are giving Yao props, nice to hear.

And one of them has an awesome avatar picture...who is that chick?

Also, love the thread title "Will Yao force Shaq into retirement?" :D

BINGO! When Yao plays one-on-one it is MUCH easier for him! But when there are double teams or fronting defenses everyone has problems. We have problems feeding Yao the ball and Yao at times has problems passing out of the double teams.

This is why Yao was able to go off on Shaq, Nesterovic, Ben Wallace and Deqlerc. They ALL played Yao one-on-one.
