if Bonzi plays we have a chance, if he doesn't its going to be a close one

I hope someone can guard that guy Kobe, he will be ready tonight

I can't believe you people. Bonzi is not the second coming... he has practiced only once since Nov 7th! So he's just so good that he can come in and take over the team... I think not. He's not tmac... not even close.

The Rox have done decently without him on the court and will continue to do so.

If he does play, he will help with the rebounding. Especially, if my bonehead boy gets into foul trouble again early tonight (thought I think he learned his lesson last game). Anything else Bonzi will contribute will be a bonus.

i think you don't recognize what bonzi can bring to this team, he’s a bona fide scoring threat, he might be rusty at the moment but he’s gonna eventually wash it off by PLAYING, who cares if we lose this game, the season is 82 games long, fact is people are excited by his return because he can replace t-mac as a second scoring option. Don’t know if you saw this guy play in the playoffs last season, but he was a force, he carried the kings on his shoulders, he has that potential. Yao’s can not win games alone, sorry to say but we have role players on this team nothing else, without t-mac/bonzi this team will not stay afloat.

I realize all of that.. I was talking about this specific game.. hence its appearance in the "game thread" :D

No where did I say that he won't contribute in the future, but as of right now, his rebounding is about the only thing we can count on. I know what he did in the playoffs and if he can do that for the Rockets that would be spectactular.

Essentially we agree that Bonzi isn't ready to play tonight, and that he will contribute in the future. I just don't think he will contribute much to tonights game which is what the two prior posters to me seemed to think. :)

I predict a win, with Head and Alston having a huge game.

In looking at the last time these two teams met there is a similarity (McGrady was out with a back injury) but there are happily many differences in our team.

The Lakers beat us on April 2nd with Kobe going off for 43 and Yao trying to single handedly keep us afloat with 33 points and 16 boards.

Check out our sqaud: Howard, Yao, Rafer, and Head starting with Bogans with the top guys off the bench Frahm, Swift, Brunson, and Hayes (no wonder we stunk last year).

Let's hope our improved squad can shoulder T-Mac's absence better than last year's team.

man i remember. talk about scrubs. bogans, brunson, frahm.

rafer was shooting horrible. bogans couldnt buy a baskek, brunson had no idea what to do.

and when yao and tracy was out, our starters were comparable to other teams backup's backup. :D

any1 read the note at the bottom:

    "Notes

Five of the Lakers' final seven games are at home, where they are 22-14. ... Yao was coming off a 38-point, 11-rebound performance in Houston's 105-103 win over Washington. ... The Lakers' Brian Cook, .."

-- so last time before we played lakers, we PLAYED WASHington AND YAO HAD 38/11, not a good sign ...
