    Red herring.

Of course it was your opinion, as was everybody else's his/hers.

The claim for Yao as the best center in the league is based on a much larger sample size, of all the games in which he's played, whereas your Tuesday morning quarterbacking is only a conjecture that can't be proved and is devoid of statistical merit.

I know I could have used a smiley emoticon in that post, but if you are too dense to have a little fun, I'll be glad to leave you alone.

Right. Then you agree it's unnecessary to add "in my opinion" or "likely" to my statement, as if that isn't already implied.

Interesting diversion (ok, not really), but this is irrelevant. Making a statement that's obviously an opinion shouldn't require prefixing "in my opinion" to it. And when I say something would happen in a hypothetical scenario, it shouldn't require adding "likely" to it or "in my opinion" to it either, for the same reason. Unless you're hopelessly dense, that should already be understood.

    Fixed it for ya.

You're free to post whatever garbage you like. I should probably be smarter and just ignore it.

Bummer of an outcome... I'm just curious...

Anyone who has the game on tape or DVD, take a look at the foul called on Yao with about 8 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. I didn't tape it but took note on the replay. When they replayed it, it looked like a very deliberate left elbow to Yao's midsection by Bryant. And yet Yao gets called for the foul??

If so, I'd say the Rockets should send that tape in to the NBA offices. Of course, a lot of players "get away" with things we don't get to see. I just wonder how much it goes on and if most of the players are getting cheap shots in at one time or another.

You know who officiated the game. THE DICK!!! who sing-handly let fakers finish the kings. The first offensive foul called on yao in the first quarter is just bull****!!!. No push at tall. The DICK better suck himself up.

    Another red herring.

While every post can be construed as an opinion, not every one alludes to a hypothetical. Thus semantically, "in my opinion" and "likely" are not comparable.

Harassment? LOL ... methinks we are both probably a little too dense. But I am done with bickering. It's all yours now. And that's a final answer.

you guys just don't get it... this is basically a mean nothing game in 80 game schedule...

in a sense you are practicing situational basketball for when the playoffs come(not that the level of play was anywhere near close to that)...10 seconds left to go tie game....5 4 3 2 1 etc...

basically what JVG told Yao... in his actions is... you make too many mistakes in a course of a game... and I don't play you as the no. 1 option in the dying seconds of a game....when the game is on the line...

the bench came in and did what they were suppose to do...but I doubt anyone of them would be expecting to close out a playoff game, nor would we expect them too...

if Tmac was on the bench....having shot one of his customary 4 for 20.. games... id still expect him to be out there in the 4th...

thats why we pay Tmac and Yao the big bucks...to make the big plays...

There's no point adding "likely" to my hypothetical (if Yao reentered the game), since lack of certainty on what would actually happen should be implicitly understood. As this is the third time you've decided to nitpick the way I phrased a comment, of course I'll be aggravated.

That's my point, which you have avoided. The red herring is your attempt to turn this into a discussion on statistical merit and the semantic difference between "in my opinion" and "likely".

If you want to avoid bickering in the future, cut out the insults and sarcasm from your responses to my posts. If your nature doesn't allow you to do that, perhaps it's best you add me to your ignore list.

Thank You. Your stars close the games out. Make the plays or draws the doubles for open shots for others. You dont put the game in the hands of freaking Scott Padgett. I see why people call assistant coach Van Dummy.

JVG's look in the post-game interview is classic. Just like a kid got spanked.

again, prove that The Rox need both Yao n T-Mac to win.

Salute to the bench players, they make yao n other starters look more like bench players(is it a good or bad sign for The Rox?)

If I remember it correctly, Yao got 2 offence fouls in 1st half, which was the direct cause for the loss IMO. So in 2nd half, Yao was no existent for the inside defence, which resulted in the shrunk of the perimeter defence range. And then a total collapse on D. Not a lot of people realized that Yao's important role in this team is more relying on his defence (of course not a in-foul-trouble Yao), which is not usually shown in the stats.

On offence, I hope JVG could learn something from the 4th quarter's comeback: When Yao is double/triple teamed, let the other guys keep drive and dish, cut and dish, over and over until the opponent's defence is destroyed. Remember, Yao is not only a great creator, but also a great(er) finisher.
