it was a team techinical, defensive three seconds that was called on yao

imagine if head and padge hit their free throws. hayes i dont expect him too, but padgett is a decent enough shooter that he should have. would have given the rockets a single point lead.

also the obvious goal tending non call on kwame.

its funny cuz yao got away with a goal tend and when yao was fouled by cook (in the third) and there was a no call the lakers commentators said well he got away with one earlier on luke so it balances it out.
then kwame gets the goal tend and the say the same thing.

my roomate who is a huge laker fan felt as if it was a L even though they won, the way the bench guys played sure gives JVG some options to choose from in the future.

The "Master" had a little trouble in the 4th quarter, didn't he?

Its good to see the bench playing with passion. Rox started 2nd half too flat. JVG needs to put in some mix and ups with the bench.

Both Spanoulis and JL3 look good. JL3 has solid skills..he has to make up for his height..by quickness and being excellent as a point.
Spanoulis is also a darn good player, and he hustles, he plays with intensity, and he is aggressive..something we need.

Padgett - too rusty, i suppose.

bonzi could be a great player for us...but tmac is the most important. I like our team though, good supporting cast.

Mutombo and Howard will eventually be replaced, but we don't have much time in the prime.

Give me a break dude. Luther played great, but nobody was within 12 feet of him when he was knocking down the 3's. They left him wide open. If he was the main option, they would guard him well.

John Lucas earned himself some more playing time tonight.

very bitter sweet victory.. you think about it, Rockets lost when Odom was out. Maybe they lost their competitive edge.

it hurts even more cuz I betted on my beloved Rockets. oh well.

we got outcoached...sure we made a run on their bench... with our bench...

but bottom line is Phil got his starters back in, in time to win the game...

a win is a win... no matter how you record it...

im not going to say Jvg lost the game for us... that honour goes to the players...

but he didn't help matters by keeping the bench in too long...

mistakes a coach should never make...

when the score was 94-92 Yao still on the bench......I knew we had loss...

a fresh Yao and our players hitting 3's left right and center...couldnt have been a more perfect opportunity....

Yeah. That's the worst game management I have ever seen by a coach

well jvg did say at the beginning of the year "bet on us" so you have to take that bet every time.

it was Alston if not we win the game. The 2nd and 3rd Q was so crucial and he was an As......

Kobe switched to guard Head..and Head was the main option in the 4th quarter.

Chuck you can count on missing one. Head and Padgett should have made theirs or hit one more. Not miss BOTH, Padge. And it would have been a one point lead and possibly change the complexion of the game. And if they called the offensive interference on Kwame you have a three point game. oh well now......

Alston stunk. Battier grabbed a few boards and played steady D but 1-8/1-5 from three hurts the team anyway you look at it. Chuck Hayes was probably more intangibles today than Battier.

Before you pile on Spanoulis, he had 4 assists with one TO. Which on this team especially today is almost remarkable.

    Kobe Line:
8-26 fg, 2-8 3p,t 5-6 ft. 4 turnovers 4 fouls. You gotta take that. It was the other guys that did the Rockets in. Good effort to contain Kobe.

But Phil't team won.....so do you want great game management where your team loses, or crappy management and your team wins.

    I take the win part.

Yet you can talk about that all day. PJ still walks away with a win. The real positive thing is probably JVG will turn to his bench players more often---esp if Tmac is absent. Bonzi showed some emotion, keep it up fat azz. Do not go back to VG's doghouse.
