ClutchFans Game Thread: Lakers @ Rockets 12/12/2006

Head is the future.. John lucas should aloso cut into that useless b*stard alston's minutes.

 

One of the greatest comebacks in Rocket's history, I am so pround of Head, Lucas, et. al. who made it happen. Bottomline, the Lakers got over 30 points from Rocket turnovers and, ultimately, the game was lost at the freethrow line. Really ,too bad, but very entertaining. Why not give Lucas a start the next game?

 

These Laker announcers were fretting it out good!

Well...this is one of those wish it wouldnta been like that games but also a good team builder. It showed the Rockets bench guys are in the league to play basketball themselves, and arent just their to fill out roster spaces and be afterthoughts.

I liked Bonzi being in but you have to wonder if having him in made it worse and what that means for him later.

Give Juwan credit for keeping his team in the game the early going, and JVG for taking out his starters but continuing to coach the players on the court.

I guess we will trade him with Bonzi for some change

 

i don't blame Yao for this game; everybody knows that Phil will focus on Yao. Alston and battier are way off today. Especially Alston can't make but keep forcing to. I declare him as the most hatress player in rocket uniform.

 

hopefully now when we're up by 20 with 10 minutes left people won't yell at jvg for why novak isn't in the game yet.

 

i am proud of our bench.....seems like we are really going for something special this year
(gotta hit the FTs tho)

 

The Rockets can over come JVG's coaching with T-mac on the floor, but they can't do it with T-mac injured. Phil was smart enough to put his starters back in when the game was getting close. Can't say JVG should've put his starters back in but Yao has got to be on the floor in that situation.

 

Great, great effort by our bench. Great play by Head. Novak is learning, JLucasIII is decent. Damn, I wish Yao stepped up more and Alston never starts against a good team.

 

I should also mention had tracy with his clutch offensive ability was in there, we would have pulled it out.

 

Bad coaching in the last 2:25 minutes when we got it down to 90-94 Yao should have been put back in this was our game to win but it was a nice comeback

man, Alston really pissed me of in third

I really want Bonzi traded, he is still fat and he just can't run our strategy

he is just not the guy to do it

I really see him traded, JVG won't allow that **** to go on any further

 

It's getting too obvious that the Rockets are so much better the longer Rafer "For Three, Clank" ALston has his butt on the bench.

 

bonzi's still pretty sucky. keep workin bonzi.

 

Come on JVG...when it got to 4...those guys were exhausted GET YAO in there.....

I know you want to reward the guys for getting them back in the game, but don't be so damned stubborn that you lose it because you fail to put your best player and best FT shooter in teh game.

Throw in bonzi into a deal involving alston say to seattle for ridnour.

 

you're logic is pure awesome. you do realize that your genius phil taking his starters out is the reason they almost lost the game? yeah i guess when the game is within two only phil can figure out it's time to get them back in.
