According to 790 radio, TMac is likely not going to play, and Wells could start to play the game. Wells's plays could be a factor to determine the outcome of the game if TMac is not in the game.

I'd be a dream come true if Bonzi is back in time to beat the Gaykers... I think Yao won't have an easy time with Bynum, he seems to be a big strong kid, along the lines of Dwight Ho...

It's gonna be a good game, Lakers on a roll, JVG vs Zenmaster, misdirection vs the triangle... too close to call :)

    So Tmac is out?

Ugh.....I predict a overload of "Yao SUCKS," "Fire JVG," "This team is not mentally tough," type posts after this game.

It's going to be a long night.

You do realize that Yao manhandled Dwight Howard last year right? NOBODY can stop Yao. NOBODY!

The Lakers have been playing very well as a team lately, their premiter defense is excellent, their big men are quick. Yes, we have inside advantage in Yao, but Jackson has handled Shaq and Erwing with Cartwright before, he will find a way to handle Yao.

I think we'll lose this one.

My prediction for the game with my own ode to Daryl Morrey statistical analysis:

    Rockets Starters
    Yao - 10
    Hayes – 3
    Battier - 5
    Head - 4
    Alston - 4
    6th man
    Bonzi - 5
    Bench
    V-Span - 1
    Mutombo – 2
    Howard – 3

    Lakers Starters
    Kwame – 4
    Odom - 8
    Walton - 4
    Kobe - 10
    Smush - 3
    6th man
    Bynum - 3
    Bench
    Evans - 2
    Farmar- 2
    Cook - 1

    Formula: (Starters x 2) + (6th man x 1.5) + (Bench x 1) + 3 for home court advantage + number of wins in last 10 games (momentum factor)

    Rockets total: 76.5
    Lakers total: 74.5

    Therefore, Rockets win. :)
Matador prediction record to date: 11-3

I am not expecting T-Mac to play and hopefully JVG will let Bonz give it a whirl.

T-Mac out so I don't know about this one.

We can win if everyone does their job.

Unless Yao steps up big, the Rockets doesn't have chance to win this game. :(

I got a question... if Tracy does not play who will gaurd Kobe/Odom? If you put Shane Battier on Kobe... who would gaurd Odom? I'm pretty sure both Kobe and Odom would eat Head a live. Head is too short and not strong enough to gaurd either player. Same with V-Span. If only we had Snyder...

I truly do hope Bonzi will play. Bonzi is stronger and taller than Head/V-Span so he could have a better chance in limiting Kobe and/or Odom. Bonzi could be the x factor in this game.

Yao will get his points but who else will step up? We need Shane to play on both ends and we need Luther to hit threes.

If Bonzi ends up playing quality minutes (doubtful) I think we have a good chance.

    If not - I predict a loss.

I sense a lot of doubt. Yao's not an MVP candidate because he plays well with TMac. He's an MVP candidate because he can carry us to wins by himself.

This is going to be the toughest battle we will face this season. I am not sure we can win. Especially without T-mac.
