key to this game is containing odom and artest. we know kobe and gasol is going to get theirs. if we can contain odom and artest, we should be ok.

the problem is odom is too fast and agile for scola and artest is too strong for martin. this is going to be a hard match up situation for the rox. you know artest is going to try and out muscle martin and odom will probably be pulled out to the perimeter to out quick scola.

shane has to be productive in this game for us to have a chance. force kobe to spend some of his energy on defence. we need to get into kobe's head for him to start chucking away and ignore his teammates.

Too many players on the floor that can't score.

Lakers have much height with talent, oh great Yao is out.
Lakers have a slow and old point guard, oh great Brooks is out.

    Somehow we win by 4.

well IMO the problem for the rox is not scoring, its stopping opponents from scoring. We can't stop opponents from going on a run, and that happens, opposing teams play harder on D as well.

Trying to out score the lakers is impossible IMO. they have too many weapons to keep us with. but forcing the lakers to take tough shots and taking them out of rhythm is achievable. to do that, we must stop kobe/gasol's supporting cast. when that happens, it puts a lot more pressure on those two.

the lakers are being beaten by Memphis, not a good sign for us....

if they lose tonight, they will be desperate to win tomorrow.

have the lakers had a four game skid ,since paul gasol went there?

They have both problems, they have dry spells where they go minutes without scoring and they have defensive lapses where they become statues watching a lay up drill. But really think about it, how scary is a starting lineup of Battier, Hayes, Lowry, Scola, and Martin? It is not like this group would terrify many NBA teams. I wonder what other team's coaches and players really think. If I were them I would double Scola and Martin and dare the others to score.

They won't need to double anyone. Odom and Gasol can take turns against Luis, and Kobe can slow down Martin by himself.

Memphis just took out the Lakers so 1) Lakers will be pissed tomorrow 2) Memphis will be a tough matchup coming up in a few days.

Lakers just lost to the Grizzlies, so their are gonna want to Kill us tomorrow, Kobe is going to make it his personal mission..

I feel sorry for Kevin, Battier and any other Rocket that has to guard him tomorrow.

The Lakers announcers (I live in L.A.) were talking about how tomorrow night "wasn't going to be any easier" for the Lakers because the Rockets like to "muck it up and turn games into wrestling matches." Yes, they took that potshot at us, but something tells me their concerns aren't exactly warranted regardless.

The good news is our offense will probably flourish against a weak interior Laker defense that gives up a lot of layups. The bad news is I don't think Houston is that physical team they have been in the past, and that seems to be what the Lakers back down from the most.

LA's struggling on offense... this could be our best chance to beat them. They've lost 3 games in a row... I'm not holding the Rockets up to a W... but we need a W and this could be a huge confidence booster.

See my starting lineup on Page 2....we'll match well in length and athleticism, it also gives us a much stronger bench....no dry spells with this rotation.

Makes more sense than the lineup Adelman is putting out there. Who in the league has a 6'6" starting center? Is there a team with a SF with lower offensive production?
