NOVAK is playing in development league thats what we are doing about it!!!
Rockets staff had better change their logic on this otherwise that 2 game losing streak will balloon to 5 or 6 and a rapid decline in the standings and we all know what that means folks............

Actually, I think this is a very entertaining game!

I think I will remember Yao's last FT making for a long time, altough Rafer didn't make it.

I watch NBA for many years, but never saw something like it. It was amazing!

Steve also has played with Yao. He can definitely pass the ball to Yao without committing a turnover.

Missed free throws killed us this game. Sort of a role reversal from the season opener when the fakers missed like 17 or 18 from the stripe, and killed there hopes for a late comeback. I guess one good turn deserves another.

On a side note, i guess the crowd was really amped for SF3, i could hear the "WE WANT STEVE" chants over the radio_Over all Im just glad the Rox didnt pack it in when Mac went out with the strain. As for BRICK 2 MY LOU...your guess is as good as mine

Can't believe Kirk Snyder even got playing time tonight. 11 Players for the rockets at least got 5 minutes in the game except Steve.Unbelievable! James shot 20% tonight and not much better than that the past 4 games I think it's time Steve gets a shot. Raefer missed a few open looks but still shot at a better clip than James plus he had a much better assist to turnover ratio.
James is such a streak shooter. It's a love hate relationship with him.

Before McGrady got injured, Scola was getting so many looks on offense and he kept messing up. You could see that T-Mac was getting visibly upset. I really hope that Scola comes around soon, we need him to step up in a big way.

So, don't you think Alston and Hayes already had their chance? How long do we have to wait before understand they are not starting 5 caliber? ANd don't get me wrong, I LOVE Hayes, but he is still young and deserve to start from the bench right now. If you wanna win a title of course, if not, no problem, he can start every game and sit on the bench with 2 fouls after 2 minutes.

he got better as tmac kept passing. he was 2-4. but he's still too hesitant and not playing with full confidence.

but it was great to see tmac keep going to him after was irritated w/ scola after he fumbled a good pass

Also, I think many NBA shooters (e.g., Kobe, Horry, Fisher) wish they were in Rafer's position to make the 3 pt and make a nba history!

right now it's day-to-day. the doc i think "believes" it will take a week but really it's day to day. he prollie will miss the next 2 games for sure though. but the dallas game is a week from now so he'll def. play that.

if he feels healthy enough, friday's game might be ok or even saturday

D Fish scores 13 pts on 7 shots.

Rafer and James score 16 points on 23 shots.

Okay, what's the solution my dear friend? We sit and complain but offer no answer? And please don't say Francis.

We brought in "talent" in the offseason just to realise the talent we already have is actually better. Before we judge whether the personell is the biggest issue right now, how about we just be patient and let our players shoot out of their shooting slumps and and learn RA's system better. By that time, the league will once again be available for trading and then you can propose as many different ways to upgrade the 1 and the 4 as you like. There is no realistic trade options available right now that will show upgrade in our 1 and 4 positions, the best we can do is just sit patiently, be positive and wait. Or look for trade scenarios and get Rafer a shooting coach or go inject all our players with confidence boosters.

As I said, there is no solution, just because yet again we made mistakes in the offseason. This is not NBA Live, but someone in the last two years, while trading/acquiring players/coach, said: "Because we want to WIN NOW!". And I didn't see any intelligent move since the day we acquired McGrady, so probably is the time to make some changes.

Yes we need to be patient and wait. Another year (?). Hope not.

    Myth.

Kobe torches Shane on a regular basis. Before tonight's game, Kobe was dropping 42+ points per game on Shane and Rockets during previous 4 meetings.

If that doesn't shred Battier's defense then check this out...

Kobe was doing it while shooting 49%.

If holding him to 42 points on 49% shooting is good defense then we have issues.

    Battier didn't impress tonight either.

True it is a myth, I just didn't like those easy shots Kobe was hitting in the second quarter which Shane would have definately had a hand in his face if he didn't get into foul trouble. Shane does terrific job defending Kobe, he is seemly always infront of him and contests every shot, if Kobe still makes them, kudos to him but Shane's efforts is definately visible.

Just ask Kobe if he rather Mike James defend him or Shane Battier.

Do you have reading comprehension problems?

I just showed you a stat displayed by espn which ripped apart Shane's defense and you agree Shane does a "terriffic job defending Kobe."?!?

    *snicker*

Yes, it was Mike James in Timberwolves jersey defending Kobe last year while he was torching the Rockets. Damn! You got me there!

Does not matter if its Mike James or Battier. Kobe torches both

But but...Shane's effort is clearly visible even though he is getting burned!!! They should only count it as 1 point not 2!! :D
