no i was referring to our offense. I expected to see a combo of motion offenses, and we got Yao in the block with Brown leaning on him every time down.

The POWER FORWARDs arent giving the team much of anything offensively either. Its NOT just the guards.

    The bright side??
Mike James shot WILL fall. Historically he's not this bad at shooting.
Bonzi has already come around from last year.
Scola has offensive skills but still seems a long way from being a SOLID rotation guy instead of just a regular rotation guy.

Rockets were 5th in 3 point % last year. This year they are 3RD FROM LAST from 3, with the same players plus Mike James. So I'm not THAT worried that it wont turn around really. And I liked the fight Rockets showed tonight, and 6-3 isnt too shabby...
But in the mean time the poor shooting is costing the team games.

I will put the loss on:

    1) Our players' not picking up on RA's system, no frequent cutting, somewhat stagnant.

    2) Our players' shooting slumps (Battier missing open shots, Rafer missing more open shots then he misses, Bonzi blowing layups, James and Head bricking)

    3) T-Mac's injury

    4) Yao being tired from the back-to-back game, KB did a good job bodying him up just outside the paint.

    5) Shane's early foul trouble that let Kobe torch us in the second quarter.

Much more so then a personell problem or Steve not playing. Our role players will play out of their shooting slumps and be more adapted to Adelman's system. Hopefully anyway. We still got over 90% of the season ahead of us, stay positive, don't give up on the players so easily and RELAX.

I just couldn't understand why rafer's 3-point shot becomes worse and worse. The more important thing is that he is not aware of that! We can see that his shooting gesture will not result in a stable percentage. But, he never tried to improve that. Yes, because T-MAC gets hurt and Yao lost some free throw, we can't put all blames on rafer. However, to be a champion team, some role players must be really good shooter!!!

alston wasnt the problem tonight, he pushed the ball up the floor well, which got wells a buncha shot and ft's slashing to the hoop and he fed everybody.............wells missed big time ft's, shane battier missed a potential tying 3...........yao can't shoot 6-18 with tmac out of the game and expect other people to make up for that, plus Yao missed big ft's down the stretch. Mike James had more turnovers than buckets.........kobe hit the shots when it mattered, and lakers hit their ft's when it mattered. And Tmac, my god, he barely hit your arm, man up!

Our point guards can't shoot from outside and can't finish inside. I was surprised that Mike James went basket so many times (this game and before), but just couldn't finish. I thought he was better than that.

We really need to get Steve to play P&R with Yao, now that TMac may miss a couple of games (hopefully no torn ligament).

Everyone needs to stop complaining about not playing Francis. Use your heads, it was a close game from half-time on, you think the coach is going to play someone who hasn't even had a single minute of playing time this season? Especially a turnover prone point guard like Steve.

I could blame the loss on a number of things, but if we played defense in the first half, we win, plain and simple.

That being said, we looked pretty horrible without Tmac in the lineup. If Tmac is out for an extended time, it might be the time to give Francis some playing time to see what he can bring.

You didn't know tmac is made of glass. Although it is very hard glass, but glass is still glass.

Thanks for sharing this video. Need to send this video clip to coach Rick A. If Steve was on court tonight for shooting the last 3 instead of Rafer, we might go to overtime.

Francis drive in the basket rivals that of Tmac. James can't, but he thinks he can. I cringed everytime james went inside.

I think JVG system is much better. JVG's problem was not involving Bonzi.
