    Bottomline, hit your freethrows.

I haven't checked the stats, but i'm sure if you make half of what you missed, you may have won the game.

Mike James hasn't really been a spark off the bench I was hoping he would be. He was great the first two games, but not very much after that.

I thought Bonzi played great, other than not hitting freethrows.

Shane has been having issues lately. He can't hit a shot. Good thing he can play some D.

Chuck was great, no complains. Luis Scola is just foul prone, but today, he his some jumpers.

Yao was great, other than not hitting late free throws.

And Steve sat on the bench.

Rick A. is a fraud. I don't understand it. reefer is sucking it up so bad and he gets the most minutes. I mean everytime he shoots, I can 99% predict its a brick. His floaters are insanely awful that it makes me want to punch the TV. And his vendetta against stevie is so obvious. The dude can't even find playing time if he put a knife to rick's throat, this guy just loves losers like reefer. just like how he liked cwebb and his losing ways. Just another losing season if this coach of the rockets doesn't change his ways. I don't care if we're 6-2. We have been playing AWFUL basketball. How do we expect to be anything come playoff time? And like somebody else said, the only game we have done well was vs the spurs. We just cant seem to close out on games and fold in the very end. We need some real dealers out there in the end where they aren't afraid of throwing their body around (STEVIE) /end rant

Anyone noticed Yao's shooting ptg is 33%. It's a pretty wreched stat for a center.

Rafer needs to find a nice cozy spot on the bench and sit there for a very long time or a nice cozy spot back in NYC.

If he keeps playing, the Rockest are going to lose.

    It's time for Francis.

Again, the crowd chanted: We Want Steve!

If you want the Rockets to win, then you don't want Rafer Alston to play.

That in game chant and Rafer's rushed 3 really killed the Rockets HOMECOURT momentum.

    Pure genious morans!

freethrows just killed us. we played great defense, but the freethrow shooting was just horrendous.

This loss tonight was good for the rockets!! Its our first back to back loss and a wake up call.

Rafer Alston needs to be benched, I think we have all seen ENOUGH BRICKS FOR A MILLION DOLLAR HOME. This guy just cannot shoot. Mike James is getting worse, plus when he is not making his shots, starts to turn the ball over.
Some members on this forum warned us about rafer when he was shooting well in the pre season, that he would return to his old ways. I guess shooting percentages dont lie. With RAFER and JAMES rockets cannot win a championship.

Shane Battier is really a disappointment: He has zero handles and cannot find his shot.

I am really impressed with Hayes, without his hussle we are not even close.

Yao is great, but has a long way to go to be dominant. Darko bothered him yesterday, and tonight kwame. Yao needs to do better.

Maybe play Synder more, he was 2-2 tonight.

Bonzi will help this team long term. Scola Needs to be more confident playingin the NBA. He will be fine

Luther has little Ball IQ and should NOT BE GETTING PT ahead of STEVE FRANCIS.

    Steve Francis: Its Time

    * No one, except Bonzi, and maybe Tracy, are better than last year. Battier, Head, Rafer...
    * I remember that in last season, although we sometimes strugled in the fouth quater but sometimes we could also have some really easy wins.
    * Last year, Bonzi and Span did get some minutes to play
    * Last year, Shane, Head, Rafer shoot 3's much better

It is a bit early, we should give the team more time to adjust. But we'll see after 20 games.

In my opinion, well planed play usually make everyone clear about what and how to do. Givem the talent we have now on our team, well planned play will produce much better results.

I think Adelman has recognized that our offense isn't where it needs to be at this point in the season. He doesn't think we can win a game, without our best offensive player, on the offensive end. I kind of agree with him.

JVG got a lot of flack last season for using a short rotation. But that's what you need to do if you're desperate to win games (which, in the midst of a chase for home court advantage, we were). Rick wanted to win this game, more than anything else. So he went with the players he thought gave him the best chance to win. If you want to fault him, fault him for putting winning ahead of giving fans a look at other Rocket players.

The missed free throws down the stretch by Bonzi and Yao hurt us more than anything. Kobe Bryant reminds me alot of Scottie Brooks out there on the court. Just a great all around player.

Horrible 'recognition' by our freshman coach at the end, as some of you have already mentioned. You DON'T leave in Bonzi AND Rafer when you need a three pointer just to tie the game, with one second left (no 2-pointer and then foul strategy was going to work; it was too late).

Combine that with the atrocious defense in the last few games, and Adelman is starting to lose me...

ok rafer suks ..... mike james whats to be the star so much .... we need steve NOW.... we need the crowd cheering that more often not just once .... plus does anyone think that injury on mcgrady kinda a weak type of foul doesn't seem to really hurt at all... its is like clothslining someone ... you can't take that geez... plus there should be a different rotation.... cause this is becoming the same team as last year making the playoffs but again losing the first damn round

the refing was ****e - especially the first half.

I kept waiting for it to even out and it never seemed to.

I dont mind getting screwed by a chick generally, but not when we're talking about the Rockets and Violet Palmer.

Yao is too tired! This is the back-to-back game. Also, Tmac was not there, and no one else can give Yao easy basket. Otherwise, he wouldn't miss those shots and PTs.

its frustrating when you cant depend on Yao to carry you down the stretch. Kwame was owning him defensively. i was really pleasantly surprised to see Kirk Snyder for a few minutes.

    It's time: KIRK SNYDER

Rockets barely got by Lakers the first game. Again it was FREE THROWS -
The Lakers missed a bunch of their's the first game, and was really the only reason the Rockets escaped. They had NO Lamar Odom that game and NO Radmanovic.
Tonight the Rockets had some misses and proved to be the difference.
    Along with the Rafer misses.

Yao and Bonzi missed too many crucial free throws late in the game, it was a valient comeback but the team is just not ready yet.

I feel very dissapointed in the season thus far. I know for a fact this isn't our best basketball. We were doing pretty good last season and it seems this season isn't going too well. Even though we are winning, we are not a great team like the spurs, celtics, suns who play with a lot of heart. Our players just seem lost out there towards the end of the game.
