I don't see how Yao will do any damage to Rudy's team.
Yao will average more handshakings with Rudy T than his dunks in the game.

Lakers get annihilated. There's no way they stay close. Grant is good at fronting Yao though.

 

Injured Kobe but I think Odom will give the Rockets fits. I still think the Rockets will breeze through this one.

You're right. In fact, I don't see how Yao can do damage to ANY team (He dropped huge numbers on Kings and Wolves) on any team The Shaq-less lakers are WITHOUT Shaq this year so that means the team is not nearly as effective and good as last year's team, but hey I guess according to your LOGIC, Yao will not do an OUNCE of damage against a talent-regressed Lakers team. You are just Fantastic you know that?

The X-factor in this game is transition defense for the Rockets. If the Rockets can stop/slow down the Lakers fastbreak points we should win. Yao will need to come out early and establish himself inside. Do Not let the Lakers set the tempo.

Boki needs to play like his Light bill depends on it. (which shouldn't be a problem).

Ironically, Yao may have more difficulties with a shaq-less Lakers because they may start to front or 3/4's him. At least with Shaq, you could always get the ball in. But now, who knows...

TMac will shut down KB with his limit time on the court (<30 minutes because he just come back from the recovering) and diliver 10+ assists. All our starts get 10+ points. Boki may have a big night: 15+ points, 3+blocks

I think this will be the first of many easy wins for the Rockets.

Turnovers once again will be key. This team is unbeatable when they keep their turnovers under 12.
