What play are you watching?, when the game was tied at 78
Yao had the exact same positioning with no double at all coming but he dished it off to Ward for the long 3 pointer,

Even Worrel said he should have taken the shot than dishing it out.

17 shots for JJ is just way too much and he was not hitting them!!

Look guys it's a 50/50 situation that only Yao could've decided what to do. We shouldn't have been in this situation in the first place.

That particular call Mihm fouls on Yao while he was trying to dunk the ball has huge influence on the outcome of the game.
Ref should not miss that call, a too critical one.

First off, his teammates didn't have better shots. Yao Ming in single coverage 8 feet from the basket is much better than Charlie Ward, Tyronn Lue, Jim Jackson, or anyone else for that matter from behind the three point line.

While Yao did get the Rockets back in the game, leadership would have not only to get them there, but to take over at the end of the game and finish the Lakers off.

So people can always find stuff to complain about Yao. When he had a good second half, people said he needed to be more aggressive right from the start. When he played that way basically for the whole game and almost fouled out Lakers' entire front court, people complain about the last two minutes, during which the refs missed an obvious foul call.

and it was olajuwon who hit the kiss of death....

ohh my bad, that was mario elie

i guess hakeem just didn't want to take responsibility of wins/losses

you take the best shots you can get. sometimes they go down, sometimes they dont.

if charlie ward had drained that 3 pointer, everyone would have cheered yao for making the right choice.

Just ignore them. Yao haters will never be pleased. It gives them meaning to bash Yao. With if Ward hit those 3's like in the other game, then what?

Maybe with this one play, Yao had bad judgement, but to say he's afraid to take the shot or to take responsibility is way off, and that is what you said in your last post.

I know you're the #1 Yao fan, but the Rockets LOST!!! It's true this game is another good sign for Yao, but I'm sure he would've preferred only 12 points and 5 rebounds if it equated to the a Rockets victory. We should've been able to blow the Lakers away.

Exactly! The loss was just because PFs sucked!!! Do not blame Yao who has tried to do the best as possible as he could.

An extremely poor show from Mo and Howard as well as no help from Boki put all the pressure on Yao and we couldn't get it done.
Yao is at least getting better which is a big encouragement but we need to get a lot more out of the other players.

Why did Howard and Deke only play so few minutes?
If JVG can give them more minutes, I am sure they will play better.
    They need minutes!

Did YOU watch the game. Did or did Yao not play with more aggressiveness than we are accumstomed to seeing from him. It IS an improvement. What, you think he's going to go from "Tentative Yao" to "Supremely Confident Assassin Yao" overnight. Hell, I'd say that it took KG about 7 years before he started taking all the clutch shots during crunch time. Before then, he was kicking out just like Yao did there.

And personally I think only one of those kickouts was a bad decision. The other passes at least provided an open look.

We played well in half quater, but it was not enough for the hole.

    Yao shoot 11 for 21 or 53%
The rest of team combined shoot 16 for 56 or 28%.

All game long Yao was waiting for the rest of team to show up.

I began to think JJ might not be a good fit for this team. Clearly he isnt the 3rd option.

We need people outside who can knock down shots.

Damn, the laker radio show just said they should send a nice check to Charlie Ward and would like to thank him. They also mentioned they didnt know Lue was still on Laker's payroll.

Tmac when can you come back?
