well I am certainly enjoying the posts around page 68-70, when the board was imploding but the young Rockets were turning things around. these posts about Lin are awesome. I loved how they gave him credit for the long two after all. you guys are pretty funny.
As predicted, Rockets wasted those old tired legs of the Lakers and blew them out, winning them 4 times in a row. What is Magic Johnson going to say about the Rockets now?
It's almost like the Rockets had this evil plan to let the hurting Lakers believe they could win it in the first half and then just heartlessly slayed them in the second half. Another ugly first half by Lin, I will once again give him the benefit of the doubt about him possibly monitoring his aggressiveness due to the hard month ahead because it looked to be true after his weak Bucks game performance and great Cavs game. He still came out big in the second half. And I don't care if my comment makes me the biggest LOF but..Jeremy is an ABOVE AVERAGE defender. My eye test does not lie! Aside from him biting on one of Nash's fakes, he was again great on the defensive end. On another positive note, he's making his three's again!!! Well some with a toe on the line but he's getting there, we haven't seen an airball in how long now? #Progress! Omer was invisible. Maybe he's also taking it slow because of the back2back. I think he'll really bring it tomorrow. James "I Ball So" Harden is a bad man, a bad bad man. I give yall some pics
Agreed. But he plays nothing like Harden, he shoots way too many long jumpers --- they sure are pretty --- but only when they go in.
Post game analysis is up, good listening for the morning commute http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bgrIhBnT5bw
In the recent era, it's MJ with a 40 game streak, but I'd have to believe Wilt had a longer streak the year he averaged OVER 50 PPG lol... Durant hit 29 games a few years ago.
I think we went through this before no?I'll list it in chronological order that makes me think this. Sampson's benching of Lin in Portland, I think, and still do think, that it was Mchale from the background not liking Lin. Benched in the 4th quarter in Dallas, and they lost the game. After the San Antonio breakout game, then Mchale was reluctant to let him handle the ball. In the Toronoto game, they went back to taking the ball away from Lin. And now, what are they like 10 wins in the last 13 games letting Lin close and do his thing? 120 something points per game! That's why I think Mchale didn't like Lin in the beginning. If anyone checks out the third quarter around 3:30 left in the third, it looked like Mchale was a little overly loving Lin. But then again, I think they're good now. Especially with 120 plus points per game. Basically, the Rockets are much more up tempo now with Lin running the offense, everything is clicking. Now you get 120 plus points per game.
Other than the last minute of the quarter, which is often all Harden, we seem to change person almost every play, given the speed of the offense, it makes sense.
Yes, on the court. But Rockets 120 something points recently was no accident. Letting Lin play his game blew this team open.
