So much for much-anticipated duel between two superstar shooting guards. The Rockets got the sweet ass-whooping revenge. One more match on March 30th to even the series.

remember how after that first pro-rafer article "Alston all Rockets need at point guard" at the beginning of the season, Rafer had a great game against Dallas? He had 12 assists that game, 4-6 Threes, 4 steals?

And now this "JVG supports Rafer" article comes out and he steps it up again.
    Hmmm.
    Interesting coincidence...?

rox overplayed laker. Laker dont have lamar and kwame, kobe got hurt too in recent games. Also the referee seemed give rox a lot of home court adv. Rockets played really well.
If t-mac has back problem why he was back to game with 20 pts lead? so he won't have a problem

ESPN just showed that this was the worst game this season for the lakers, fewest points scored, lowest fg %, tied least 3PTs made, least assisted.

Tmac has a tendency to make up injuries when he has an off night shooting ;)

JVG wouldn't put him out there if Tmac was injured. Actually playing helps his back stay loose

His back has been a little tight the last couple of games, but he'll have to adapt.

He played a very good floor game though
    Didn't force anything

How do you know his back was tight against Chicago?

Anyways, maybe it's time Mac took one more trip to the miracle doctor, heh.

You've got to be kidding me right??? Show's how much you actually follow the Rockets.

What was Rafer's FGA's before Yao was out? 11.7 FGA's. What is it after Yao's been out? 15.9.

11.7 FGA attempts makes Rafer the default 3rd offensive option. He better dang well make his shots.

Don't get me wrong, I want Rafer to do well. But I'm going to be critical of him when he's not making the mark.

    Tonight's Chron:

The Rockets could get guard/forward Bonzi Wells back from his sore lower back much earlier than expected.
Wells did not have the scheduled anti-inflammatory shot on Monday, instead joining Tracy McGrady on Tuesday for a trip to McGrady's Waco rehabilitation therapist, John Patterson.
``It's feeling better, a lot better,'' Wells said. ``I went to the doctor (Tuesday) with Mac. Mac took me to his healing specialist. He did wonders for me. I feel great."

That's the point. Think about Lakers have how many home courts so far and how many advantages they already took...

Rafer didn't take much ill-selected shots, but I still think he shoots a little bit more. 10 FGA would be ideal for him even with Yao out. He could try to drive and dish to set up others, including TMac.

Anyway, it is a great win against the Fakers. Closer to the 4th spot in West.

That's probably not going to happen, but I'm not sure if that's really that far-fetched. The two stars will play the majority of their minutes together, but T-Mac should get a good amount of floortime with a Juwan and Mutombo frontcourt, because that's proving to be an excellent combination. I could be wrong, but it seems to let him be more of the offensive focus than playing with Yao.
But whatever the combination, when Yao comes back, our second team, esp. Head, Juwan and Mutombo, will kill. I'm loving it.

How many free throws did the Rockets have in the first half? 2? We whupped'm and we had 10 FT attempts to the Lakers 25 and refs gave us a home court advantage???

    Word of advice...stop smokin.
