It pisses me off that he takes so many 3's when he's one of the worst 3 PT shooters on the entire team. It's just stupid. Any good coach should know that it's not a winning strategy to have your starting SG chunking 3's left and right, and taking more 3's than most of the team. I can't wait until Cam gets back and takes some of his minutes. He was shooting 43.5% his last 4 games, and is averaging over 40% this season.

In the past 6 games Brooks has shot 51% from behind the arc making 17 of 33, Jabari was 10 of 30 for 33%, and Holiday was 10 of 24 for 41.6%. But, who took the most 3's? Jalen, the guy who was 6 of 34 from behind the arc. The guy who hasn't improved his 3PT shot in 3 years. SMH

He takes a lot of catch-and-shoot threes. Not so many pull ups

 

It's a coaching failure that Ime keeps letting him chuck so much. He should be benched every time he takes an off-balance or contested three until he gets the message. He should be playing like an early-career De'Aaron Fox at this point, because that's basically what he is (with crappier passing). Less than three 3PA per game.

 

Every rebound counts against a team like Knicks.

When teams crowd the paint and go under/sag off the dho or pnr, your supposed to shoot.

Sucks he doesn't shoot well, but I'm sure alot of them are applauded by udoka for "making the correct read" regardless of result.

Well, with the silent addendum "you're supposed to shoot if you're a good shooter". They let Jalen play as though he's a good shooter when he's clearly not one at this point in his career. Like other questionable shooters, he should only be taking them when he's wide open.

They all work on them, it doesn't mean that it translates into games though. Attempting 4-5 threes a game is normal in the NBA these days.

LMAO. His teenage G-League numbers? Are you serious? Haha. It's been 3 years of court time in the big league now. He hasn't improved shooting 3's. Nobody has to get used to it. There are tons of shooting guards in the league who can actually make 3's much better than Jalen. If he doesn't improve I bet he's traded before the end of next year.
