I think Juwan Howard is headed for the worst season of his career. The guy knows he's got limited minutes on the floor, so he is trying to shoot as much as possible to build the stats. However, he might be rushing the shot. Juwan might be in the doghouse from this game on. Any player that effs up against JVG's former team is going into the doghouse.

It is simple: If we go through Yao on every possesion and get Tmac attack the hole, we get a chance to win games. If we do neither, we stink and have little chance against half-decent teams.

Kenny is challenging the JVG low-posession theory.

He's right... "We just aren't good yet"

Also, "They're not a half-court team... they only got one guy who can score in the half-court and that's Yao Ming..."

(Uhh... he's our best player right now, Charles)

Bobby Sura is trying to go the Soul Man look. I've been a avid supporter of Ward since I thought he would shoot the 3 ball well. I wasn't enthused about Sura coming to the Rockets, but I concede that CD had some foresight in thinking Ward couldn't handle the role of point guard in large minutes. Ward looks as bad as Matt Maloney looked when he lost the 3 point shooting touch.

    Kenny smith has a point.

Less possessions mean less difference between two teams. It works for us when playing the best, but against us in the rest games.

As talented as T-Mac is, How come he doesnt' attack the basket as often as others? Is it because of his injury?

JVG has a quote on 610 concerning his faith in the veterans. I think he was specifically talking about Ward. He said he might have been wrong to trust his veterans to do too much. JVG knows this is a stab at himself. Ward is his guy. He's the guy he chose to come to Houston.

TMac is handling the ball much more tonight which is excellent. Ward's duties should be minimized. He should be only defending and shooting the 3 ball.

Any bets on how many touches Yao gets in the 2nd half? Kenny and Barkley talking about how stupid it is for us to limit posessions. Of course, theyre just stupid former players.

Probably... but he's never been known to do this a lot in his career (or at least not as much as Kobe does).

Its unfortunate, but when guys have the abilitiy that they have... they get bored of just taking it to the hole and getting fouled almost everytime... they'd rather sink the fadeaway three pointer every time...

well we have the middle usuall clogged up with yao s it's a bit harder to drive as much as he did in Orlando.

If we went to another type of offense like up beat, Yao would have a heart attack and be tired all the time.

however if we can implement 2 types of offenses then it might be to our benefit. When yao is in the game we go half court, when he is out we should be running with the team we have.

At least this way we have 2 different ways we can approach teams.

Chuck's analysis about the Spurs is dead on, too talented, too disciplined, too deep of a bench, a great coach in Pop, Duncan, Ginobili , I could go on and on, baring injuries, they will be the last one standing..... in June.

Steve Kerr & "The Czar" were great in thier assesments of the team and the fans. We need that PG to handle the ball and set everyone up and alow TMac to be the scorer. The PG need to be able to breakdown the defense. Fratello had a great take about how fans' expectations are too high on this team for this season just because they got TMac to play along side Yao. He said that CD will get the players to surround the two stars to get better in the next season or so.
