You guys can talk about offense all you want.... but giving up 32 points in the 4th quarter is what lost this game for us.

Our forwards can't ever guard the opponent's forward at all, and why oh why did Van Gundy but our B Team out against the Knicks A-Team in the top of the fourth quarter? Why didn't he at least have McGrady out there?

    Embarrassing.

    "Hey wait, it's early"

Yeah, it might be early, but losing to the Knicks, at home is humiliating - early or late.

JVG needs to get this thing togther. THe team has been remade in his image, these are the pieces he wanted it, and its not pretty. I'm not saying to fire him or anything, but this is just unacceptable.

Don't blame it on T-Mac and Yao, blame it on JVG. He's cursed. Howard is cursed. These two gotta go.

Crawford came off a screen by Thomas, who caught the inbounds from Penny, and banked a lucky three. JJ was screened.

Haha... Charles is talking about never letting a 3 beat you... I hope they don't show the Stockton highlight.

    or the Hawks.

The Rox at this point are a marginal playoff team. JVG is a good defensive coach but everything else is....

Exactly. Kurt Thomas was on fire. So you send someone to GUARD HIM. And, with the Yao and T-Mac thing I guess Van Grumpy is trying to prove some kind of point. Not sure what. But, that's the only reason I can think that you let a team come back on you like that.

I think you meant marginal lottery team. In the West, this won't cut it.

This is one of the better game played..there is flow most of the game.

TMac - effortless, even better than Pippen

We lost to Marbury team in the 4th quarter, worse thing you could do in the NBA. :(

Can't really blame it on the players this time since JVG had their 1-2 punch on the bench during the huge run.

The reasons why we lost this game:

    (1) JVG took both TMac and Yao out at the beginning of the fourth quarter and put in a bunch of scrubs. We lost a 10-point lead during the stretch. That was dumb, period.
    (2) Yao Ming chose to pass out rather than shoot the ball in the 4th quarter. The Knicks took the ball out of TMac's hands with double-teams and Yao chose to take the ball out of his own hands by passing out. If he wants to be a leader, he has to step up and take these shots.
    (3) Lack of defense on pick n' rolls. Kurt Thomas easily had a field day against us.

These last two games are complete and utter chokes. There is no excuse.

I agree. I am seriously speechless. I don't even blame that lucky shot by crawford. I blame the rockets for not keeping up the intensity to build on the lead. The lack of killer instinct and the cancerous 4th quarter indifference to win the game is going to continue to haunt the rockets. Nevermind the loss to the twolves and lakers at home, the last two losses against the hawks and knicks(at home) really says a lot about the lack of character of this team. I knew they would struggle because they have to gel and all that garbage, but I never thought it would come to this. There really is NOTHING left to say except to continue following as the season rolls along. This is absolutely horrendous...for any team.
