There's just no emotional connection between the team and the city. Other cities' fans seem to have a genuine attachment to their team. Fans seem to have a stake in the outcome of the game in those cities.

THe Rockets are like mercenaries in Houston

Balkman got away with a ton of no calls as he had Yao in a bear hug most of the time and our guards didn't exactly help out Yao by giving him the ball correctly. Smaller and Quicker players will force Yao to "flash" to the kill spot (ala Shaq) and wait for the quick and high lob where he can catch and shoot all in one motion. If they front him with a man playing behind...Yao can flash high and have a guard set a down (or back screen) for the man playing behind him...or this would be a good time to kick out to Tracy for some dribble penetration to loosen the D up down low. So many weapons to choose from so pick your poison.

Don't know if it's just my observation. Yao used to be pretty inefficient in Q4. Before last season(and even last season before All-Star game), Yao's typical game was: he could get 18 points in 1st/2nd Q, then 5 points in Q3, and in Q4, he was so tired and could only get 2 points. And this season he has made huge improvement. He is not so easily tired in Q3 and esp. in Q4.

Why do people like you always try to compare Yao or Tmac's game based on one game? or even a few random games? Tell me something: Does Kobe, Shaq, Wade, Lebron perform 'superstar'-performances night-in-night-out? Give the man a break dude!!! A win is a win and I don't care how well Yao/Tmac performs every game, as long as we get the W it's all that matters dude! The Bucks game Tmac had 35pts okay! So Yao played a supporting role since Tmac's hot! And tonight Yao's hot so Tmac supports. If you have some common sense you'll know this is much much healthier than 2 franchise players FIGHTING for shots during the game! (like Kobe/Shaq used to before Phil Jackson took over). If Tmac/Yao both consistent avg 25pts per game apiece then as a Rox fan you'd know we'll win every game!!!

So cut your Yao 2004 Yao 2005 Sh_t and support our team! A good team should win games without franchise players scoring the most points!! (Lebron and Arenas scores like 35pts per game, but do they have consecutive wins? Just on real facts here no offence to the 2 stars). We should be happy that neither Yao nor Tmac are selffish players, and when one's having a hot scoring night the other provides a supporting role! WE WANT THAT okay!!

"It's crazy to me," McGrady said. "If I go out and have a subpar game and I don't shoot the ball well or play well and I get 13 points, every team I've been on, we're going to lose that game.

"The role is kind of reversed now. I'm the distributor and I like that role."

    Anyone worried about this ^?

Honestly, yes. It sounds like he's reticent to just be a passer, but I'm sure he didn't really mean it that way. I'd like to think Yao is the #1 option, and Tmac is the #1.1 option. I'd like to see them take turns for highest scorer of team each game. Not intentionally of course, but I think we'd be unstoppable if the offense was more balanced between the two.

For the team we had in, I would say the crowd was very active. I remember in 2002 or 2003, I went to a game with my friend vs Phoenix. We won 98-92 but the crowd didnt even fart until franchise did a high flying dunk sealing the win with seconds remaining. Remember that was the Bricks not the Spurs, Heat, etc.

So anyway, ease up on the crowd sucked hardcore. The energy Saturday night was far better than I have experienced in quite awhile. So relax on that ... winning will help better reinforce a better homefield advantage.

Why is this a problem? T-Mac dished 8 assists and made some shots that were really needed especially the buzzer beater before the half. I think the fact T-Mac had an overall subpar game, no bonzi, no Novak yet, but give it time. Plus, Bad Boy Bobby could be back within 4 weeks. Battier just played another solid, disciplined, intelligent game. Yao is establishing himself as a "Superstar." Say what you will but, Yao is getting it done. Teams cant stop him, can hardly contain him. So, T-Mac is recognizing that even he can be considered as a player playing off Yao and not having the offense go through him like the first year and one-half was.

In time, the Rox will get this all ironed out but in the meantime, I'm encouraged because we arent playing our best overall and yet, we are scoring more, defense is about the same and we're winning.

    What's the problem ...?

    2004 Yao + 2006 Tmac = 1st round playoff elimination
    2005/2006 Yao + 2004 Tmac = NBA finals
