Turnovers are up all over the league. Most of the star players have increased turnovers by 50% or more.

    There are 2 reasons.

    1) The new ball
    2) The referees

The referees are making alot more calls even on superstars. They do this every year in the beginning of the season.

what a performance by Yao. Luther is showing real development. I think JVG is doing a great job with the mix right now. Some posters freak out way too much because teams come back on us. this is the nba, teams almost always have a 2nd or 3rd push. they are professionals too, and it pays to step back and consider what's happening. The Rockets are jelling, and faster then I thought they could. Steve Novak and Vspan will not see much action if this keeps up.

JH serves his purpose, IMO. even if he is being "overpaid". Deke, well, he just blows my mind with his ..what ever the hell it is he's eating for breakfast I guess.

Maybe Yao is sharing some of that snake meat with him.

Some of Yao's TOs actually were not his problem, but should belong to our guards.

Ok, here are the official +/- numbers courtesy of my esteemed colleague, compucomp. Thanks for the vine.

Last nights game vs the Bricks:

    Yao +20
    Battier +12
    T-Mac +7

Captain Chaos Cato -8. Incidentally his ledger sheet shows he only had 1 foul in 6 minutes. Did NOTHING else. Nothing! LOL. Some things never change.

    Curry -21

Up to this point in the season for Battier Man, ridiculously consistent:

    NYK +12
    Mil -1
    Mem +10
    NOK +1
    Dal +18
    Ut +8

    Total: +48 ... holy sh*t, hello consistency!

It's in retort to Cubitches' MFFL T-shirt which stands for Mavs Fan For Life. I just think he's a jerk and politiking little b**** and so that is why I AM "HateMavsforlife" LOL.

Wow what a great game from Yao. Weve seen the constant development over the years and man is it coming together this season. It seems that Yao is finally learning that he can impose his will on the court and nobody can stop him. This is very exciting to watch. If he keeps this kind of determined play up and we stay healthy, theres no telling how far we can go. Now if we can just get Bonzi going and get him into the game plan. I cant remember the last Rockets season in which I was so optimistic about where we are headed. We havent won a playoff series since 97, its about time we did something about that and I think this is the squad to do it.

Maybe it's just me... but I don't think I have ever heard commentators use the word 'dominant/dominating' so frequently to describe Yao in any one game until last night.

Wouldn't Mavs Hater For Life be a better nick to go against Mavs Fan For Life?

I havent read this thread and I only got o see a little bit of the game last night while at dinner in NYC...

can anyone tell me why JVG was so upset after a play in which the Rockets hit a three late in the game? I believe it was a three ponter by Rafer or Luther, and on the way back JVG's face was bright red and he was yelling at the team...

man he has lost all of what hair he had on the top of his head... the dudes dome was shiny last night...

it's always great to cheer on the Rockets in a NY restaurant... it brings me back to 1994 when I was in a bar when the Rockets won game 7...

    Go Rockets!

Not to downplay Yao's big game but lets give some credit to Ronaldo Balkman. He was the most effective Knick that was guarding Yao. He was giving Yao problems each time they tried to throw it into him. If teams are smart, they'd try this "smaller/quicker player" tactic on Yao and see if that works. But sooner or later, Yao will get the ball and then what? DOMINATION.
