I like that we are doing the little things that need to be done at the end of the games to squeak out the win. It would be a lot more fun to see us blowing people out of the water, but I think its a good thing that they see they can win when the game gets close at the end.

I can't wait to see the yao highlights from this game!

and how much would I love to see Chuck's move down the middle on sports center.. lol not that there's much of a chance.. but every time they talk about him they're like.. "who"

    Cracks me up!

The entire NBA and most of the media are overlooking the Rockets.. defiantely to our advantage!

Damn storm kept on messing up my SopCast connection. That's ok, I'm happy the Rockets came out with a win. I bet Thomas wanted to just suit up himself and play out there.

everyone saw when JVG called the timeout to complain about the score. I checked it out. He was right. The Knicks were given 1 extra point. actually 2. Q Richardson went up for a lay-up he got blocked by T-Mac and Yao. the score for New York goes from 43 to 45 for no reason. Then he is given only one shot and makes it. WTF??

edit: no way it was goal tending either.

R2K will you please put this in the clip vid. Thanks

Come on guys, let us enjoy the wins!

Why so much complaints after a win? Yao had 35/17/7 and you people STILL want more of him? Come on, give the man a break... And Tmac did alright, even though he didnt score 30+, we still got the job done and he had 8 ASSISTS. So chill out with all the complaints and be proud of the Rocks!

they could be viewed as observations rather than complaints.

If I were coaching the opposing team, I put a small quick aggressive guy (like Lee, Balkman, Chuck Hayes, Marion, Diaw etc) on Yao all game and forget about matching his size. Yao really struggled with the smaller guys tonight. Then again, maybe it has to with the smallers guys being on him later in the game when he's already tired from producing all night.

The 4th qtr performance is a big concern, but then at least we had a cushion to afford the collapse and still hold down to win.

The problem is that the bench players can't hold the lead when they were in. Whenever Yao/McGrady/Battier are not all on the court at the same time, the team seems to just struggle-- even when they are missing just one of these three guys. So, the choice was to either play the 3 stars heavy minutes-- even when they are tired in the 4th, or to rest them and take your chances with the inconsistent at best bench.

The bench guys have NOT stepped up when they are in. They need to show something or else the Rockets should probably trade to get someone reliable (unless they have faith in Bonzi. I don't).

Just as others said during the game, we need to leave Jho out of the game if we want to hold our leads.

I don't think it was Balkman and Lee that stopped Yao tonight. It was stamina. Balkman and Lee played Yao in the first three quarters as well, why didn't they stop him then? By the time they checked in for the 4th quarter, Yao had already played (by my count) 12+ minutes on the court.

Yes he had problems against Najera in the past, but he's much better sealing off his man now and the Rockets are more adept passing him the ball against frontings. Otherwise, if it still worked, every team would do it.

And of course, Yao getting butchered without calls helped.

Yao wasn't having as much trouble with the small line up as the rest of the team was having trouble getting him the ball. A lot of those turnovers they charged to Yao were not completely his fault.
