Exactly! Look at their TOs and that's all you need to know about why this game went into the "L" column. They simply don't get it - TOs keep the other team in the game. For all of their antics on the court, neither SF nor Cuttino are able to understand this at all.

Sac was literally pimp-slapped around by Dallas and SA who jumped on them early - as did the Rockets. But unlike the Rockets, Dallas and SA did not keep giving Sac the ball back on TOs and as a result, kept them down and finished the job. That's something that Memphis has also learned, much to our dismay. The Rockets are exactly what they appear to be: a mediocre team who'll make the playoffs as one of the bottom 2 seeds.

From what I've seen this season, we're doomed even if he somehow finds his jumper. He plays so stupidly and out of control that it's almost inconsequential what he does now on the court because other teams have come to count of his boneheaded and eratic play. In essence, he's become the kind of player that Jayson Williams was at Sacramento. Is the guy you consider a vital cog on a winning team?

Nice performance this CBA team put on for my first ever game at Toyota Center...I'd like to say that I was shocked, but I really expect this from the Rockets now...poor defense and sloppy execution in crunch time. I knew Peja was going to go off on us...

Guys, it wasn't the turnovers that cost the Rockets this game(even though we did turn it over excessively).

Our defense sucks! They are highly overrated on the defensive end of the court. We had a number of chances to win this game with just a few defensive stops, but they couldn't hammer it out. They allowed 50% shooting for the entire game and 60% shooting most of the way.

The turnovers did hurt, but what is hurting worse is the lack of passion on defense. These guys have no heart and no pride.

I'm tired of Mo giving up baskets after the other team misses a freethrow. This time it was Songaila, the only power forward in the west who is smaller, and weaker than mo.

A major problem we have this season is that when the rockets have the lead with 2 minutes left in the game, they tend to collapse and lose the game. Examples are the last home games against the lakers and spurs, last minnesota game, and yesterdays game. Steve has had one clutch play this season(against the bucks), he is always reluctant to pass the ball in the last minute.

Can Yao Softy Ming quit saying those kind of stupid after-game quote?

<i>"We can only do what we¡¯re supposed to do and what we need to get done. I think there have been too many games now where things have happened that are not within our own control." </i>

Please look at yourself first for the recent losses.

Actually the replay of the last TO by Yao showed that he was fouled by 2 Kings on his way to the basket.

    Never mind.

Sir. Melo can elbow Cat and still get a call.

The same Melo went up for an offensive rebound and would be rewarded for a shooting foul.

Barry ran into Yao and initiated contact before flopping, and yes it was a foul on Yao.

When Webber charged into Mo in the first quarter, the refs just let it go and if it was on Yao, it would be an immediate offensive foul. And they won't mind give him 3 offensive foul calls during a game.

During games, I had the same thoughts: quit the jumpers, quit the layups, just dunk everytime.

But really, it is not going to happen, and it is not what Yao can do. He has played a lot more minutes and extra OT's this season, and he is physically worn out. He doesn't have to explosiveness to do what we want him to do. His jumpers and layups are deadly more often than not, and we all cheer on his jumpers when they are falling. Can you deny it? You cannot expect him to shoot over 50% every game.

When he gets tired, he cannot get very close to the basket without risking being called offensive fouls. If he cannot get too close to the basket, and he wants to force power moves, he has to dribble the ball first. His height and his fatigue cause a lot of TO's. I think that might be the reason he sticked with jumpers or layups late in games.

There is really no good solution to it until he gets his physical condition better. Before that, we have to live with his jumpers and layups late in games, like it or not. If you look at the whole season, they worked out pretty well.

I think he's referring to the play where he missed a short shot , grabbed the rebound, and then got hacked on the arm on his way up. There was no call, and the kings went up the floor to make a 3 and take the lead. This occured with about 2 minutes left in the game. Yes, he could have played better throughout the game, but as he was in the process of stepping up in the final minutes, he got screwed.

In a close game with only 1-2 points of difference, ref's biase does make difference. Complaining officiating does not mean softness. We need a win to feel safe. Next a few games should be easier to win.

"well... when a loss happen you have to first look at yourself, but we both know it can't be me, so i blame the coaches, the other players, the management, and the media... if wouldn't be a fumble if one of the other guys would have just fallen on the ball..."

    remember that commercial?

For any of the sadistic lateheads, the replay of Sunday's collapse is on ESPN now.
